Holme Pierrepont Running Club

Holme Pierrepont Running Club The club was formed in 1982 and is one of the longest established running clubs in the Nottingham area We aim to cater for all ages and abilities.

Our original emphasis was on road running but we now also have an extensive cross country and fell running programme. The main focus is our Monday and Thursday training sessions at the National Watersports Centre. A few of us are fanatics running 6 times a week and entering 40-50 races a year, but most are people who enjoying running 2-3 times a week to keep fit. Most are looking to improve their

running performance over time. We currently have around 400 members from 18-70+ with about 40-70 coming down on club nights. Just over 40% of our membership is female.

With temperatures forecast to hit 31°C at race time, staying hydrated is going to be key. 💧

☀️ GRAND PRIX RACE 4 – THE GRAND FINALE! ☀️🏁

The final race of the 2026 Holme Pierrepont RC Grand Prix Series is almost here and it’s set to be a warm one!

📅 Thursday 9th July
🕖 Race starts at 7:15pm
📍 Holme Pierrepont 10K

🌡️ Current forecasts are predicting temperatures of around 31°C at race time, so please come prepared:

💧 Bring your own water bottle
🧢 Wear a cap if you have one
🚰 Water will be available at the finish and at a drinks station shortly after halfway when re-entering the National Water Centre from Adbolton Lane.

The HP 10K is the longest race of this year’s Grand Prix series, so pacing yourself and staying hydrated will be key.

Join us afterwards at the Rugby Club clubhouse near the entrance to the National Water Centre for:

To enter the raffle, simply drop your race number into the raffle box after finishing.

🅿️ Parking is available at the National Water Centre (charges apply), or you can park near Lady Bay and jog to the start. With over 400 runners expected, please arrive early and be considerate to local residents.

🚲 Better still, why not cycle? The new bridge makes access from Colwick easier than ever.
