Here’s the truth most singers miss…

Opportunities don’t always come in the form of a stage, a spotlight, or a planned performance.
Sometimes it’s just a random bar, a live band, and a moment where you could step forward… or stay sat down.

We were drawn in by the live music (of course 🎶), got chatting, mentioned we’re musicians… and suddenly we were invited up to sing.

No prep. No pressure. Just a moment.

And that’s the lesson 👇
If you love singing, you don’t wait for the “perfect” opportunity… you take the one in front of you.

Because every time you say yes:
• You grow in confidence
• You gain real experience
• You become the singer you’re trying to be

The singers who improve fastest aren’t always the most talented…
They’re the ones who show up and say YES more often.

✨I’ve had two new students join me recently, and both arrived feeling understandably nervous. Meeting someone new, stepping into a new space, and singing in front of someone for the first time can feel incredibly vulnerable. It’s a lot to take in during that first lesson.

But here’s what I want to celebrate:🙌✨

They showed up.

And that alone is a huge achievement.

The biggest hurdle in any journey isn’t hitting the high notes or mastering technique — it’s taking that first brave step and walking through the door. Choosing to be seen. Choosing to grow.

Once you’ve done that, the rest can come with ease.

So to anyone who feels nervous before starting something new — be proud of yourself. Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes it simply turns up.

✨ First lesson at Morris Vocal Studio done ✨

I gave my very first vocal lesson this week, and honestly… it went so well.
There were a few nerves at the start (totally normal), but once we got singing, everything just flowed.

It reminded me exactly why I wanted to do this — creating a safe, fun space where voices grow in confidence as well as technique.
I already can’t wait for next week. Less nerves, more trust, and even more fun to be had 🎶

Here’s to dropping the anxiety, enjoying the process, and letting the voice do what it’s meant to do 🤍

A Little Introduction & A New Chapter ✨🎶

I’m so excited (and a little nervous) to finally share this…
I’m officially starting Morris Vocal Studio — a space where singing is about more than just hitting the right notes. It’s about confidence, self-expression, and finding your voice.

I’ve been incredibly lucky on my own vocal journey. I completed my vocal grades 5–8 with Rock School and Trinity, all with distinctions — and I honestly wouldn’t be here without the amazing teachers who guided me. Learning from the best showed me how powerful the right support can be, and it’s something I now want to pass on to others.

Although I completed my grades at 18, what they really gave me was confidence — the confidence to get out there and sing for myself. Since then, I’ve had the chance to perform at festivals, weddings, parties, and even fashion shows. Every experience taught me something new — not just about singing, but about people, nerves, emotion, and connection.

Having singing lessons myself didn’t just improve my voice — it helped me believe in myself. It gave me the courage to collaborate with others, work alongside incredibly talented musicians and creatives, and share something meaningful together. That feeling of being supported and encouraged is something I’ll always carry with me.

That’s exactly what I’m trying to create with Morris Vocal Studio.
This isn’t about being perfect.
It’s not about sounding like anyone else.
It’s about feeling safe, supported, and confident enough to express who you are.

Whether you’re a complete beginner, someone who’s lost confidence, or someone who just wants a space to grow — you’re welcome here. I want this to be a place where people feel celebrated, not judged. A place where mistakes are part of the journey, and where finding your voice also means finding a bit more of yourself.
