So I have been watching this happening for some time now and for me it's saddening to see.
Within the Bujinkan we have some great practitioners, absolutely outstanding.
However.... these are all usually students of Japanese instructors in Japan or extremely closely linked for example have had a long term teacher student relationship with someone who is taught via Japan.
This is sadly becoming more scarce.
What I see now is dreadful, embarrassing, not martial arts practice, just people playing with something that was a good base at some time or another and has been destroyed by lack of timing, distance, balance, etc etc etc. Even worse is the weapons practice. There it is amplified so badly.
I watched a video on here and there's this guy who is stupid Dan and his Bojutsu was shocking. Use the Bo like that and you'll be dead.
One thing I loved about the Bujinkan back in the 80s and 90s was we looked for everything to be effective. Not look cool or flash just pure survival mode.
I do not want anything to do with these modern day Ninja Warriors who are embarrassing the name of the Bujinkan.
Problem is you do not even realise who you are.
To those who actually train to improve themselves and to search for real Budo, good luck to you and you all have my respect.
The rest of you please understand I am going to unfriend many of you because I really am not interested in your bs training.
