Was it really only an hour…
So why does it feel like so much more?
The clocks have changed, and suddenly everything feels a bit harder.
That’s not in your head.
Your brain and body run on rhythm -
light, sleep, routine.
So even a one-hour shift can affect:
• Energy
• Focus
• Mood
• Getting started
For neurodivergent brains, especially, that disruption can feel much bigger.
That struggle to get going in the morning?
That’s your nervous system recalibrating.
Not a lack of motivation.
Not a lack of resilience.
Just… adjustment.
If this week feels slower or heavier than usual, you’re not doing anything wrong.
Try keeping just one thing steady (wake time, first meal, or getting daylight) and let the rest follow.
And on a lighter note…
my car clock is finally right, well for the next 6 months 😅

How long does it take you to adjust when the clocks change?

Today is National Wear A Hat Day 🎩

It got me thinking…

For many neurodivergent people, the “hats” we wear aren’t just for fun; they’re often ways of masking to fit in.

Masking can look like:
• Hiding overwhelm
• Forcing eye contact
• Rehearsing what to say
• Pushing through when your body is saying stop

From the outside, it can look like coping.
But underneath, it's exhausting.

Over time, wearing too many “hats” takes its toll
on energy, confidence, and wellbeing.

How wonderful it would be if more environments felt safe
so that we didn’t have to wear so many hats? That will come with more awareness!

💬 I’d love to hear, which “hat” do you find yourself wearing most often? I doubt it's the same one as Frank!!!!!

Reflecting on Neurodiversity Celebration Week 💙

Last week was a powerful reminder of how much awareness around neurodiversity is growing, and the difference it makes when organisations actively engage with it.

From the Visible Festival (thank you to 🙌) to working with the team at Sinclair International, there was so much curiosity, openness, and willingness to understand.

And that’s where change really starts.

When environments reduce overwhelm and recognise different ways of thinking, things begin to feel more manageable and more sustainable.
If you’re wondering where to start, we’ve created a simple guide that we share a lot:

Reflecting on Neurodiversity Celebration Week

Last week highlighted just how much awareness around neurodiversity is growing and the difference it makes when organisations actively engage with it.

From the Visible Festival (thank you to NANSA for organising such an important event) Nansa Norfolk, to working with the team at Sinclair International Sinclair, it was great to see so much openness and willingness to learn.

When we better understand different ways of thinking, we create environments that work better for everyone.
If you’re wondering where to start, this is a simple guide we often share:
