A Fab Friday night before the race at Coldham Hall tavern to celebrate 50yrs of the YNR - seeing 35 river cruisers moored ready to race, catching up with old friends, seeing the films from 1976 & mid 1990s , making new connections, hog roast, b**r festival

Dear Competitors,
Just a quick update ahead of tomorrow’s Yare Navigation Race.

The YNR Committee will be laying a bottom mark on Breydon Water for the race. Please ensure you are aware of this when reviewing the Sailing Instructions and preparing for the race.

For those of you staying overnight and racing in the Cecil Howard Memorial Race, could we please ask that you moor in front of the Coldham Hall Sailing Club clubhouse on your return.

We’re really looking forward to welcoming you all to Coldham Hall and to what promises to be a fantastic weekend of sailing and a very special 50th anniversary Yare Navigation Race.

Safe sailing and good luck to everyone taking part — we look forward to seeing you tonight and racing tomorrow!

Saturday Breakfasts for crews and spectators

Coldham Hall is helping us make the 50th YNR a proper celebration, with plenty happening before and after this Saturday’s race.

The Tavern’s B**r Festival runs from Wednesday through to Sunday, so there will be plenty of opportunity to enjoy a pint and catch up with fellow sailors and friends. Try this year's special brew - the Yare Navie!

Friday evening will be a great start to the YNR weekend, with live music, a hog roast. At 7.45pm there is a very special showing of rare archive film from the Yare Navigation Race. A chance to look back at the boats, crews and characters who have been part of the race over the years.

Saturday – Race Day Coldham Hall Tavern will be serving breakfasts in the morning, ideal for crews and spectators alike.

After the race celebrations continue with a special YNR menu from 5.00pm–9.00pm, followed by the return of The Shanty Buoys

Come along, swap stories from the day, enjoy some food and music and help us celebrate 50 years of this very special Broads sailing event.

Everyone is welcome – entrants, crews, families, friends, former competitors and YNR supporters past and present.

We have 32 entries for the 50th race on Saturday.
The Committee will be sending race information out tomorrow by email to all boats entered
Reedham bridge was opened yesterday but waiting for confirmation ok to be opened on Saturday.
