🏏ECB U11 & U13 Girls County Festival🏏

Today 7 girls teams travelled to Thetford Town Cricket Club to enjoy a day of cricket.

👧 U11 Festival
This group played 12 over innings, so that the players had longer to bat and bowlers could bowl a maximum of 3 overs. The girls did a fantastic job managing the longer format with some great performances too!
Margo (H&TV) 29, Chloe (H&TV) scored 32, Lily (DSCC) scored three fours in three balls and Isla (DSCC) bowled the only maiden in the U11 festival 👏

👧🏻 U13 Festival
The U13 group played 6 over innings as they had more games to get through. We saw an impressive one-handed catch, and some great fielding from all 4 teams.
Emmy (H&TV) bowled a triple wicket maiden, and Mia (N. Runcton) bowled a double wicket maiden. Ophelia (Bradfeild) scored 28 off 9 balls and not to be out done Elsie (N. Runcton) scored 29 off 10 balls! 👏

Overall it was a fantastic day, and all the girls looked like they enjoyed themselves.

🏏Girls U13 Softball Festival🏏

Last Tuesday 3 of our U13 Girls teams played in a fun 6-a-side festival at Great Ellingham CC. There was some very good cricket played by all 3 teams, on what was a very hot day.

Thank you to Great Ellingham for being such fantastic hosts, and welcoming Hethersett and Tas Valley Cricket Club and Bradfield CC so warmly.

🏆 MR Cricket MR Hockey Women's Softball Cup Final 2026 🏆

Swardeston & Great Melton Ladies batted first, posting the very competitive total of 329-3 off their 100 balls. North Runcton's batters got off to a flying start, and went into the final over needing 15 runs off 5 balls, but they lost a wicket, making the target even harder to reach. They fell 12 runs short.

🏏 MR Cricket MR Hockey Women's Softball Hundred Plate Finals 2026 🏏

Bradenham posted a 1st innings scored of 310-1 off their 100 balls. Norwich gave chase, but fell just short based on net run rate, finishing with a total of 274-6.
