Great final friendly before the season starts this morning for our new CFC u8 Blacks vs TFA u7 Blacks
The astro we played on only had 9-aside goals available (u11&u12 size 16ft x 7ft), which wasn't ideal for the goalkeepers, so us coaches were expecting a lot of goals!
It ended up a 24-goal thriller! With both teams taking it in turns to take the lead, it was great to watch and a different experience for them. Both teams were playing lots of nice football mixing up skilful runs with plenty of good passing plays.
Despite the bigger goals, they all scored some fantastic goals and it resulted in the players knowing they had to keep the pressure up as there was a bigger target for loose balls/shots, resulting in a lot of contest in the middle of the pitch ⚽️
Thankfully it was a close match-up so it was end to end and the big goals wasn't too much of an issue in the end.
