Great turn out tonight with 6 runners all braving the winter weather to participate in the weekly mud splash. Tonight was the highest turnout since 2024 👏 Trail running is a great way to turn winter blues on it's head, where else do you get to splash through puddles & mud as an adult without getting some raise eyebrows 🧐....come give it a go!

This week's run adds some vert back into our regular Thursday night run, heading over Ashurst Beacon & Parbold hill following last week's flat introductory run blowing away the indulgences of the festive break.

This is a tough but big smiles route with lots of mud promised after this week's rain - 6.66 miles 👹& 932ft ascent

The next Intermediate club run (& first of 2026 😵) will be held on Thursday the 8th Jan taking in the Blythe Hall Burscough route

Next week will be the last Thursday run until 8th Jan (as the following two Thursdays fall on Xmas & New year's day)

We will pick up the Newburgh route for the last run of the year. For those that can make it, it will double as an optional Santa dash too - so bring your hats / costumes if you wish to participate 🎅🌨️❄️⛄☃️

The next Intermediate Club run will take place at 18:50 on Thursday 11th Dec meeting at the Hub in Banks - A new route taking in a section of the new King Charles lll Coastal path, along a section of the Banks estuary. No surprise river crossing this week 😜

Great chance to burn a few calories before the festive indulgence

The next Intermediate club run will take place on Thursday 4th Dec, meeting at 18:50 (for 19:00 set off) at the car park behind Rufford Boat House Cafe L40 1TD.
A non technical but muddy route taking in River banks, farm tracks and wooded trails. Distance 10Kish and flat. One of my favourites, only accessible in winter when the overgrowth by the river is gone
