A strong performance today in some windy conditions. The girls had the wind behind them first half, and managed to go in 5-0 up at HT with well worked goals from Carys (3), Flora, and Martha. Second half was a bit harder but the girls managed the conditions well, limiting Corbridge to a single goal and playing some good football to create a few chances of our own, which Etienne and Eleanor took advantage of, securing our win. Well done girls, great performance from everyone today.

A decent start to the season for our Sunday team. Playing in torrential rain had an impact on the quality of the game, it was a very tight first half, 0-0 at the break.

Second half we started to move the ball around better scoring a good goal by Isla to take the lead following some good link up play down the left and a cross by Lily. We went 2-0 up from a well taken penalty by Megan and we looked in control. But well done to Heaton Stan who didn’t let their heads drop pulling a goal back with 10 mins to go and then getting the equaliser with the last kick of the game.

The girls will be disappointed with how it ended but it wasn’t a bad performance with lots of positives, we will see improvements as they get a few more matches under their belt. Well done girls 👏🏻👏🏻
