If you bought a bike online this Christmas and built it at home here's what to check:
-Front and rear wheel nuts 'tight' with the correct spanner ( typically a 15mm )
- pedals firmly tightened
- brake cables stretched and then the brake set for optimum effectiveness
- tyres pumped to minimum 40psi
- check ALL Alan key bolts and tighten them to a firm tension
I just repaired a local bike this morning that needed a brake adjustment, only to find several loose bolts that would certainly have caused an accident from riding the bike 🙈
