We attracted a bunch of women from the local area who were all looking to get involved with something that was just for fun, and just for them. Move on, almost two years later, we have taken part in the SBYL development league for new women's teams, played friendly matches against teams in the NIWFA leagues and other local women's teams. We are looking to increase the competitive side of our team,
whilst still maintaining social football for those not interested in competitive football. We have grown from strength to strength continuing to have a core group of roughly 25 women involved on a regular basis, with many others staying involved for the social life! Aside from the football, we have had many social events and events for charity. We had 4 relay teams entered into the Belfast City Marathon in May 2022 for 4 different charities, we ran a clothing swap for Alzheimers UK, we have sold reindeer food for Marie Curie NI, had team prize giving events, birthday parties, weddings and many other nights out, just because we deserve them! We have a great bunch of women involved and 3 great male coaches who enjoy the banter and craic, and have learnt the value of patience while we gossip! Ards Rangers Women strives to be a place that is welcome to female players, aged 15+, of all abilities and we will seek to develop your skills or help you enjoy some time for yourself with a wonderful and fun group pf people!
