An amazing turnout today for our Airlour Quaich Texas Scramble.

80 golfers played in lovely sunny conditions, the club are delighted with the turn out and a massive thanks to everyone who supported the competition.

A huge thanks to the Dourie Farming Company Ltd. for once again sponsoring this event, their continued support is very much appreciated.

The restaurant will be open from 9am for breakfast before the round, with full meals and the bar ready to go late morning.

The St Medan Ladies Beginner’s Social Golf Group enjoyed another fantastic session this morning, with confidence growing and real progress showing in the pitching, putting and driving. ⛳️

There were plenty of great shots, lots of encouragement, and as always, smiles and laughter all round. It’s wonderful to see everyone improving, enjoying themselves and building friendships along the way! ☀️🏌️‍♀️

The St Medan Ladies took their annual outing to Portpatrick Dunskey this year to battle it out for the fiercely contested Outon Salver. Blessed with kind weather and beautifully playing fairways, it was really only the lightning-fast greens that kept everyone on their toes (and occasionally guessing!). Between plenty of laughs, a fair bit of gorse-bush ball hunting, and some creative putting, the golf was a great success—with everyone finishing a little weary, slightly windswept, but still smiling.

They rounded off the day at Dunskey Guest House for their meal and prize presentation, where Emma and her team delivered fantastic service, delicious food, and a brilliant atmosphere. Spirits were high—no doubt helped along by the Lady Captain Joanne’s refreshments—making it the perfect end to a memorable outing.

As for the Outon Salver results, it was a strong showing all round: first place went to Kathryn Norgate & Elizabeth Dally with an impressive 51 points, followed by Joanne Wallace & Susan Jordan on 43 points, and Kathryn Ambler & Ann Ballantyne taking third with 41 points—proof that the competition was as lively as the day itself!

St Medan Beginners Social Golf group made the most of last Friday and Saturday morning’s glorious sunshine, coming together for a relaxed and enjoyable mix of pitching, putting, and driving. It was great to see everyone out on the course having fun, building confidence, and sharing plenty of laughs along the way. The enthusiasm is growing and everyone is looking forward for the next session in May.
