Only the yellows were in action this weekend first game for them since 14th December.

What I thought was going to be a sluggish game from us due to lack of game time it defo wasn’t. We started fast 2-0 up within 10 mins. The boys were ruthless and continued to play fast and aggressive that little more than the opposition who didn’t give up and had there opportunity’s to strike but our keeper who’s currently fasting and was low on energy but done his job fantastically.

The game ended a 9-0 away win to us thanks to Monmouth u14s for hosting us we look forward to the return fixture.

Special mention to Leon who we signed a few back and was it hung to get into the game he came on from the bench assured and got a goal on his debut also being awarded Player of the match by his team mates.

So proud of these boys today went and played potentially the best team in the u14s age group. There top of there league which is a division higher than us they beat teams in our league in the cup by double figures. We turned and my instructions were go and do your best and enjoy it. We lost 5-2 two silly goals conceded made the scoreline flattering but boy they knew who they played today and won’t forget Newport saints yellows. We take all the positive work from today and use it in our league games.

Football returned today for our yellows with the short trip over to local rivals lliswerry Lizards.

A 7-1 victory which sees us sit top of the table for now. Huge improvements each week from every player.

They started strong and finished just as strong the performance today has shown the boys are starting to gel well and play as a team and are enjoying there football.

Some real stand out performers today.

Next week we host Sifil Whites at home which always turns out to be a highly intense and physical game. If you’re free please feel free to pop down and watch this one.

Yesterday our Yellows played a strong undefeated Undy side. We went into this fixture missing a few key players but that didn’t distract the boys from the job at hand. A very very good performance from all involved seen us run out 3-1 winners and sitting 2nd in the table.

Newport saints amber had the pleasure of travelling down to Cromwell fc for our league match today. A great proformance from both teams but with a setup from Joshua N and a great shot from ishank T we managed to go 1 - 0 up

With both teams battling for possession and constant waves of attacks from either side. A breakthrough run from kaleem K made it 2 - 0 just before halftime.

Cromwell didnt give up. And It paid off with a goal of their own. Then shortly after with another to make it 2 - 2

Another great run from Tyler B with great speed and awareness brought it to 3 - 2. Both teams was brilliant and was lovely to see the teamwork and passion from both sides till the final whistle.

Abergavenny Rhinos 0 - 7 Newport Saints Yellows

Today our 14s Yellows travelled to Abergavenny for a 12pm kick off. An early one for the boys but they didn’t disappoint. Within 2 minutes we found ourselves 1-0 up a fantastic worked goal coming from Chayse with a lovey assist from team captain Luciano. Not long after we found the net again Chayse again with some brilliant link up play with Gabe to score the 2nd. For the rest of the 1st half it was a good battle we had a few more opportunities but couldn’t find the net.

On to the 2nd half we came out of the blocks fast 2 goals from our debutant Nathan a goal from Gabe and another from Joshua secured the victory and 3 points to take back to Newport. Some impressive performances today and the team are gelling lovely from our summer recruitment.
