Managed to squeeze one last session in before the weather stops play for a while 💨🌧️

One last trip yesterday before the weather takes a turn 👍🏻🎣

Taking advantage of the half term and beautiful conditions atm an evening trip with Scott and his kids was arranged last minute to try and get them amongst some fishy action 🎣😄

The plan was to sit on the anchor for the remaining flood tide and see what was biting before we move at slack and switch to the light jigs on a slow drift.

After some dogfish one of the rods gave a nice rattle which we liked the look of, so we gave the rod to young Theo for him to reel in a lovely Brill 👍🏻🎣 Nice work Theo!

We then moved to some reef and set ourselves up on a nice drift with the kids bouncing some light 5-10g jigs off the bottom.

Amelia knew exactly what to do as from the first drift she was into fish landing a number of bream upto 2lb on the 6lb setup 😄👌🏻🎣
Some nice drag burning action for her as the bream make their strong runs 🔥

Theo too got into some jig caught bream and also enjoyed telling us when there was fish under the boat using the sounder 😄

All in all a great little casual evening trip watching the youngsters get into some great fishing 🎣 Memories made - that’s what it’s all about

Next time il try and convince my girly 6yo to come and that we will see a mermaid 🧜‍♀️😅

Absolute beauty of a day to be at sea today 🌞

Decided to play it safe and use some smelly slimey bait 😷 for a mix up and sit on the anchor.
Was hopeful of a half decent mixed bag but it just wasn’t the case today, a 6lb bass, smoothounds, Huss and the normal pests 🐍

Something for the BBQ none the less! 😋👌🏻🍻

An enjoyable few hours after work with Scott giving the light lures and jigs some water time 🎣👍🏻

With the water clarity up and down like a yo yo it was quite clear the bass fishing on the vert setups wasn’t to be this time, so it was time to scale down and go in shallow.

The result was a steady stream of wrasse, bass, po***ck and bream falling for the 7-10g jigs mainly. All great fun on the 6lb braid setups 🎣

Change of mark and lure choice saw Scott bring a grey gurnard to the boat but sadly not making the net as we watch it shake the hook 🫣
Never mind- that’s fishing!
Onward we go 🎣👍🏻
