han 10,000 hours of 1:1 personal training across London's most prestigious studios with some of the busiest industry leaders. In 2024, I relocated to Cambridgeshire, where I run a health and fitness company called Welltolead. We’re a coaching company dedicated to helping growth-minded professionals embrace a healthier, more energised lifestyle to excel, lead, and flourish in their careers. Through both my 1:1 in-person personal training and my 1:1 online coaching, I equip individuals with the tools, support, and proven strategies that I've developed over my 10 years of experience. My goal is to help them not only improve their wellness and daily performance today but also future-proof their body for tomorrow - without burning out. Our approach is rooted in three core pillars: Fitness, Energy, and Nourishment. We focus on how you move, how you recover, and how well you nourish, helping you create sustainable habits for true vitality and longevity. Many of our clients come to us feeling drained, unfit, and struggling with aches and pains. They’re tired of running on empty, unhappy with how they look, and concerned about the longer-term direction of their health. At Welltolead, we tackle these challenges head-on, helping our clients to break free from the cycle of fatigue, look and feel at their best, maintain high energy levels, and crucially, develop a body that’s pain-free, disease-free, and built to last. Over the years, a large number of the clients I’ve worked with have chosen to work out in the comfort of their own home or in a small home-gym setup. For many, it’s more convenient, more consistent, and far easier to fit into a busy routine.

But one thing I often hear is a sense of limitation - a feeling that, without a fully equipped gym, their workouts might not be as effective.

The reality is, that’s rarely the case. With a few simple adjustments to how you perform your exercises and structure your sessions, home workouts can be just as productive and, in some cases, even more effective than training in a busy gym.

In my most recent column in The Cambridge Independent I break down 7 effective ways to get more from your home workouts - to build strength, move better, and make real progress with what you already have.

The aches, new injuries, and fatigue - is not just “part of the process.”

If your body is always breaking down, something isn’t working.

Good training should build resilience, not just push limits.

A pleasure to be featured in discussing some of the most common fitness mistakes people make in each decade of life.

It can be difficult to tune out the constant noise - especially on social media - whether it’s a new trend, diet, or piece of health tech.

In the last few years, I’ve increasingly seen people drift away from the fundamentals that actually make you healthy, investing heavily in approaches, techniques, and perspectives that not only distract from what truly works, but in many cases can even have a negative impact.

In this piece, I join a few fellow fitness professionals to discuss some of the most common mistakes we see people make throughout each decade of life, why these mistakes happen, and - crucially - what to do instead.
