❤️🖤 FULL TIME | ANOTHER WIN FOR THE 2010s! 🖤❤️

⚽️ Newmains United 2010s 4–2 Kirkintilloch Rob Roy

It wasn’t pretty, but a win’s a win! The boys dug deep, showed plenty of character and got themselves over the line. 💪

It was a frantic start and we could easily have been three up inside the opening 10 minutes. Instead, we found ourselves 1–0 down after 20.

The response was excellent. Captain Pidgey levelled after 25 minutes before Rio grabbed his first Newmains goal 10 minutes later. ❤️👏

Then, with two minutes left in the half, came an absolute beauty from Aaron. Arguably one of the best team goals we’ve seen from the 2010s. 🔥

Total football from the back, started by Brando, quick passing and a couple of lovely one-twos got us down the line before a brilliant cross from Keezo found Aaron. He finished it with a beautiful side-foot volley into the top corner from 15 yards! 🤩⚽️

3–1 at half-time.

The wind began to swirl in the second half and it became all about digging deep. Kirky struggled to create much, but with 20 minutes remaining they converted a penalty to make it 3–2.

The boys could have let their heads drop. Instead, they responded almost immediately. Jarv found the net to restore the two-goal advantage and seal a 4–2 victory! 👏❤️🖤

Not at our best today, but the job got done and the three points are ours! 💪

We looked a little lethargic and disjointed at times and struggled to keep possession for large periods of the game.

But when it mattered, the boys showed character, determination and resilience, battling right to the final whistle to secure a 4–2 victory and another valuable three points on the board. ❤️🖤

⚽️ Newmains United 2012s 4–2 Milan FC

Another brilliant win for the boys as they make it THREE wins from THREE! 🔥👏

It was a really tough first half playing against a strong wind, but the boys dug in and put in a great shift. Cian fired us into a 1–0 lead before Milan FC responded to send the teams in level at 1–1 at half-time.

We conceded early in the second half from a set piece to go 2–1 behind, but that sparked the boys into life! 💪

From there, Newmains clicked into gear and completely took control, overpowering Milan FC across the pitch and scoring three goals to turn the game around and secure a fantastic 4–2 victory! ❤️🖤

❤️🖤 2016s | FULL TIME 🖤❤️

Newmains United 2–3 Holytown Colts Whites

A really competitive, tight game this morning, but unfortunately we’ve come out on the wrong side of the result.

⚽ We got off to the worst possible start, conceding inside the opening minute. We struggled to get going in the first half and were second to too many balls. Credit to Holytown, who punished our mistakes and had the better of the opening half.

🔥 Second half was a completely different story.

The boys came out fighting, dominated the ball and territory and played some excellent football. Both teams created chances and we were really unlucky not to get ourselves back into the game.

Plenty of positives to take from that second-half performance and loads to build on. Keep the heads up, boys! ❤️🖤

⚽ Newmains United 7–2 St Pats Golds

Another convincing victory for the boys! 👏🔥

What makes this one even better is that earlier in the year, St Pats beat us 9–1 with a very similar group of players. The turnaround since then shows just how far these boys have come. ❤️🖤

It certainly wasn’t straightforward. We found ourselves 1–0 down at half time after a really tight first half.

The second half remained just as competitive, with the game sitting at 2–2 until around the final 15 minutes. Then the boys found their rhythm and the goals started flying in! ⚽🔥

The biggest difference was the work rate. They worked hard for each other, kept going and every single player contributed to the victory.
