🖤🤍 Away day in the Scottish Borders for our Inter Girls! 🖤🤍

Really proud of the girls today. We battled, competed and played some great football against Berwick. We possibly should’ve had a penalty in the first half, but went into the break 0-0.

We unfortunately lost Tilly to injury early in the first half after a strong tackle, but the girls kept pushing and it was still goalless with just 8 minutes to play.

A goal from a corner followed by three quick-fire goals from long range and free kicks made it 4-0, but that scoreline definitely doesn’t reflect the game or how hard the girls worked today.

The girls have been class across our two midweek fixtures, moving the ball brilliantly, playing with confidence and showing just how versatile this squad is becoming! 👏🏼⚽️

🖤🤍 FIRST GAME IN THE BOYS DIVISION! 🖤🤍

First one done playing a year up against the boys! ⚽️💪🏼

The difference in size and physicality was clear to see, but the girls weren’t phased one bit. They battled, competed for every ball and gave as good as they got from start to finish 👏🏼

A worldie strike from outside the box gave the opposition the lead, but there were loads of positives to take from our first competitive game.

And the weather… absolutely lashing down! 🌧️😂 Soaked to the skin, but the girls just got on with it!

🏆 Special mention to Emily, who was awarded the opposition’s Player of the Match on her competitive debut for City Juniors! 🧤👏🏼 What a way to start!

🖤🤍 OPEN DAY VICTORY! 🖤🤍

Our U12 Inter Girls kicked off their season at Benwell today, playing a year up and what a start! 🙌🏼⚽️

We went into half-time 1–0 up and probably didn’t want the whistle to come with the momentum we had! The opposition came out strong after the break and scored twice in quick succession to turn the game around.

But the girls didn’t let their heads drop. They kept playing our football, worked their socks off and showed brilliant determination to fight back and get the win 💪🏼

⚽️ Goals from Xanthe, Tilly, Emily & Sadie

🏆 Special mention to Elsie, who was awarded the opposition’s Player of the Match. She read the game brilliantly and seemed to intercept absolutely everything today! 👏🏼

What an experience for our girls today! 🖤🤍

They ran their socks off, got stuck in and managed to score four goals against Manchester City’s Academy, a real credit to their effort and determination.

There was plenty of praise from their coaches and parents from the sidelines

Super proud of this group. They did themselves, their families and the club proud, and their behaviour throughout the whole day was impeccable.

The girls will be joined by other Newcastle City Juniors FC Girls age groups for what promises to be an unbelievable experience before the new season begins.

We’re delighted to see Sadie retained in the Sunderland AFC ETC for another season.

As our captain, Sadie has worked incredibly hard to earn her place and continues to develop every year. Her attitude, determination and commitment to improving make this achievement fully deserved.

Retaining a place in an ETC programme is something to be proud of, and we’re delighted to see all of Sadie’s hard work being rewarded.

⚫⚪ Massive congratulations to Aurora! 👏🏻

We’re incredibly proud to see Aurora retained in the Newcastle United ETC for another season.

Aurora continues to show exactly why she deserves to be there. Her hard work, commitment and willingness to learn never go unnoticed, and it’s been brilliant watching her keep developing each year.

Being retained at such a high level is a fantastic achievement and a reward for all the effort she puts into her football.
