🧤🔴⚫️ THANK YOU JOEY ⚫️🔴🧤

5 years ago this Summer, we ran open sessions for a new U7 team- that team was missing a goalkeeper, up stepped a 6 year old who was up to the task in our #1, Joey.

It takes a courageous individual to step up to be in goal, and an even more courageous individual to remain there for 5 years at such a young age, and Joey did that with pride week in week out, and we cannot thank him enough for his amazing years with the team.

Huge thank you to Robbie and Helen also, who have supported the team through good times, bad times and times of change! ❤️

The U12 Kings will be taking part in our very own Darras Hall FC Summer Tournament this Sunday from 9am-12pm!

It will be their first taste of the new age group, and a great chance to get a run of games before we enter the 2026/27 season.

We are beyond proud to have them represent this club at our tournament, and are sure some fantastic football will be on display! Enjoy it lads! ⚫️🔴

⚫️🔴 Darras Hall FC Presentation Night 🔴⚫️

Our U12 Kings were present at our annual Darras Hall Football Club season celebration last night, and had a fantastic time reflecting on their season and revelling in their progress!

A massive thank you to all of our players, not only for their efforts across the year but for their self belief to be the best they can be. Some of these lads have been a part of the same team since they first started playing football, and to have them with us almost 6 years later makes us so proud to see them develop and become teenagers!

Thank you to all the parents of the team, for your unconditional support and dedication to the sport. Your supportive words to both the players and coaches will never go unseen!

Season Report: DHFC U11 Kings

One year ago saw the inception of our team, followed by a pre-season tournament in which we won emphatically, and a few pre-season friendlies in which we saw our lads glue together and become a really well gelled, mature side ready for the season ahead.

We began our season in early September, with a win to kick us off, followed up by a draw and then a loss to set our record completely even across the board. But the lads were motivated by the loss on match day 3, and went on to win 2 back to back matches, then draw, and win on their final game of the first split to see it out in style.

Our second split began mid October, and the boys once again kicked off in high fashion with a convincing win, before drawing a really tough side in the cup and exiting the competition early on. A league loss followed, before the lads dug deep and used their defeats as motivation to find form once again in the league and win 3 on the bounce, taking us into the new year on firing form, before a really solid side put our streak to an end.

As always, our U11s trained hard and put themselves to work in their games and returned with a victory in the league, a valiant defeat, and then another victory - the boys had clicked together so well and came so far even since the start of the season! Another 2 wins followed, before we fell short to the same side that put our winning streak to an end earlier in the season. The season was coming to an end, and after the lads suffered another spirited defeat, we saw the season our on a huge high with an outstanding performance to cap the season off!

The lads have done themselves so proud this season - every single one of them, and they have become a true force to be reckoned with in their mentality and play style, and we can not wait to keep going and see where this team can go. 👊

A massive thank you to the parents for showing up week in, week out, and to the lads for being themselves and coming to training and matches willing to do the club and more importantly themselves proud every day.

Keep an eye out on our page for more updates regarding friendlies and tournaments the boys will be a part of during the summer break, and we look to keep the ball rolling with our form in the meanwhile!

What a perfect way to end our season that was! 🤩

We had one instruction to boys before their game today: go out, and have fun with your football. And to say the least - the lads absolutely had some fun tonight.

After a dominant first 15 minutes, we found our opener courtesy of Wilf, which was soon followed by a second via Lucas. We were 2-0 up at the half, and the lads had dealt with our oppositions press well enough that our improvised goalkeeper, Dom, had only had 1 touch of the ball at HT!

We told the boys to keep going, and not to change anything about the way they were playing at the midpoint, but to keep up their positive football and continue enjoying theirselves! Our team talk at half time must’ve encouraged the boys, as we went out again for the latter half and dominated again, netting a third from 25 yards out with a rocket strike from injury-returning Ewan. We then comfortably saw out the rest of the game until the final whistle.

MOTM today went to Lucas for his work ethic, tracking back to triple up as a defender when dealing with counter attacks, and using his rapid pace to attack dangerously when we were going forward, but the group picture below is a testament to our boys this season and how they have only progressed once again as a team and all absolutely showed their skills and worth as footballers and a group of lads today.

Our season comes to an end, but the work doesn’t stop for the U11s with training, tournaments, and a presentation on the horizon! Smashed it lads, well done!

A really solid display despite coming away with no points. 🤜

We battled hard through a really windy first half but found ourselves a couple goals down at the mid point, and we instructed the lads to go out and apply a bit of pressure onto our opposition by grabbing a goal back for ourselves early on.

Wilf found himself through 1 on 1 around 5 minutes into the latter half, and found the back of the net to see us back into the game, and we kept pressing hard for the next half an hour but to no avail. We were down a goal as the final whistle blew but the performance was a really strong one from the lads today.

MOTMs went to Stan and Tyler, Stan for his work ethic, being incredibly brave in his 50/50s with opponents, covering our defenders and sweeping up in central positions, and Tyler for his calm at the back, shutting down our oppositions wingers for the best part of the game.

Only one more game left of this season and we set our sights on that.
