⚫️🔴 The girls started the new season against a very good and strong Whitley Bay Lionesses team. The game was very evenly matched and the girls gave their all both in attack and defence. 🔴⚫️

⚫️🔴 It was great to see Mia pick up where she left off last season with another goal. Precious, Jessica and Paige all contributed massively along with Mia making the opposition goalkeepers make some fantastic saves. 🔴⚫️

⚫️🔴 Our defensive unit of Emily, Bella, Marnie and Catherine were phenomenal as usual and played the whole game. 🔴⚫️

⚫️🔴 We really enjoyed seeing Paige make her debut today, she got involved across the pitch and made some great contributions. 🔴⚫️

⚫️🔴 Coaches players of the match were Precious and Mia for their amazing link up play in attack and Marnie for being an absolute rock in defence and making some fantastic runs in to midfield. 🏅🔴⚫️

⚫️🔴 Opposition player of the match was awarded to our captain Emily for making some fantastic saves, organising her defence and brilliant distribution. 🔴⚫️

⚫️🔴 Fantastic start to the new season. Girls are looking forward to the next game against Heddon. 🔴⚫️

What an unbelievable weekend! We hosted 60+ teams and 550+ kids in our Darras Hall FC Summer Tournament! The sun was shining, there were smiles everywhere, and every player and team were celebrated for showing their skills on the pitch. ⚽️

We are truly grateful to everyone who signed up, and attended the tournament - all players, coaches, parents and teams, and to our venue Leisure United Bullocksteads for being such an amazing host to us. 🤝

We at DHFC worked tirelessly to ensure the tournament ran as smooth and efficient as possible, and we’ve been so proud to hear such positive feedback from everyone - it makes the hard work and effort worth the while to see the footballers of the future thriving in such a positive space. So thank you to all of our DHFC coaches, committee and volunteers to help make this happen!

Also, a massive shoutout to Emily Gardener for giving up her weekend to assist the club - she helped teams sign in, collected payments and gave out medals and trophies across the entirety of both days, all to ensure a special weekend for the players. 🫶
