RHF Girls produced another brilliant performance this weekend in a friendly fixture vs Wideopen FC, despite battling through terrible wet and cold conditions. Huge credit to all the parents standing on the sidelines, getting absolutely soaked!
The girls started the game superbly, playing some fantastic football in the opening 15 minutes and deservedly taking an early lead. As they settled into the match, Red House continued to move the ball brilliantly, with some clever passes being played from defence into attack. Unfortunately for the girls, a Wideopen equaliser just before the fist quarter, disrupted Red House’s rhythm going into the break.
The team continued to work incredibly hard throughout as we changed personnel, showing great depth in the squad, brilliant teamwork & determination. The girls responded brilliantly to the equaliser though, returning to playing superb football with excellent movement in behind, that repeatedly cut through the Wideopen defence. The soaked-through parents were rewarded with some excellent goals and another hugely positive team performance.
Another great experience for the girls playing on the bigger pitches, with plenty of positives to take moving forward.
