Rugby season 🤝 cricket season 🏏🍻

A few of the Newbury Bulldogs XV lads swapped rugby shorts for cricket whites this weekend to take on the mighty Boxford Cricket Club in the first of 3 social cricket clashes.

Against all odds (and with questionable technique throughout), the boys somehow pulled off a glorious 7-wicket win 😮‍💨🏆

There may not have been many straight balls bowled, catches were definitely optional, and several dismissals are iffy at best… but what an afternoon it was.

Top cricket, top banter, proper match tea, and a few well-earned beers afterwards 🍺☀️

Massive thanks to everyone at Boxford for hosting us again — same time next year? 👀

It's a wrap!

From Friday Night Lights to an epic win on the road, this group is what rugby is all about - skill, banter, character and social. We are a side that plays hard, backs each other, and knows how to enjoy every minute together.

Thanks to every Bulldog who pulled on the shirt this season. The culture around this club keeps getting stronger, and there’s a lot more to come. If you want to join us next season - let us know!
