Stanley Park Sports Ground; home of the worlds' Greenest Football Club; Forest Green Rovers FC. The Football Foundation funded full sized 3G pitch was installed in 2012, and despite 10 years of intensive usage often exceeding 60 hours per week, the facility remains in fabulous condition. After rectifying minor surface defects, the pitch has flown through its fourth FA surface performance test; a tribute to the quality Greenfields Trimension 60 3G artificial sports turf system, a comprehensive in-house maintenance regime by Paul Harvey and the team and an external surface maintenance regime by Pitch Maintenance Services Ltd. The pitch is stringently maintained over and above industry guidelines for brushing and decompaction. Any areas requiring rectification such as performance infill levels, repairs, w**d and moss treatment are corrected as soon as identified.

A domestic job completed in Wash Common, Newbury this week. Thanks to Louise Mckevitt for the referral, and to the client for completing the majority of the hard work in bringing 11 tonnes of type 1 in up to required levels. Another enjoyable project and happy client, finished prior to a busy 6 weeks ahead in bringing cricket clubs' non-turf facilities up to scratch ready for the 2021 season!

Repairing an artificial sports surface can be an inopportune but nonetheless essential part of maximising the durability of the initial investment of a facility. This London leisure centres' 3G pitch was suffering from premature fiber loss caused created by inadequate synthetic yarn retention.

The leisure group assessed the expenditure of resurfacing the pitch against extensive patch repairs. Pitch Maintenance Services Ltd. solution of low cost repairs has extended the lifespan of the carpet until the organisations sink fund to resurface the pitch is reached, maintained safety for users and offset synthetic materials entering landfill. Thanks to James Sturgess for all your help in delivering this project.
