Newark Town Tournament ⚽️🏆

We came up against some really good teams today across both age groups, and some great performances from our girls who never stopped working, learning and supporting each other. The effort, attitude and team spirit on show all day was fantastic 💪🏼

Most importantly, there were plenty of smiles, lots of laughter and some great memories made along the way. A huge family turnout from everyone at Lil’ Laydies ❤️ together as one!

So proud of every single one of our girls today. The future is bright 🔥💪🏼

Well done to Nev tonight! ⚽️👏🏼

We worked on passing and moving tonight. Working in pairs, moving and staying close to our partners and making sharp passes to one another. She did really well with her partner, communicating well and making some brilliant passes 👏🏼

We played a game of Wembley at the end, and she was brilliant. Again, worked well with her partner and was covering a lot of ground 🏃‍♀️
She turned into the nutmeg queen in Wembley, and was megging everyone left, right and centre 😅

A smaller session this evening with a few on holiday so we worked on some 1 v 1 duels and Amber was fantastic tonight 🔥

She took on coaching points really well. Took a good first touch and then was very quick with her second touch to get past the onrushing defender. She showed great composure scoring some great goals at the end of it ⚽️👊🏼

She really knuckled down tonight and put a lot of effort in, and all the other girls picked her out as the Lil’ Laydie of the session also 🙌🏼

LIL’ LAYDIES OF THE MATCH ⚽️🦁

The whole team were outstanding today but these three were on fire. The three cousins smashing it 🔥🔥🔥

Amiyah - voted by Basford United players. Ran her socks off and was everywhere today. She helped in defense when needed, aswell as being ruthless in attack. She looked very confident out there today. Scored two excellent goals and got an assist aswell 🔥

Avannah - scored a great goal and got an assist. But her constant pressure of there defence was brilliant and helped our team out immensely. She tackled numerous times and started some great moves off because of it. Absolute workhorse today 👏🏼

Libbyella - HATTRICK HERO 🎩⚽️ took all three goals superbly but I was really impressed with her work rate. She used her frame to make space and once she was through on goal, no one was catching her 🔥 proper old school striker vibes 💪🏼 big fan of the seal celebration aswell 😂

PHENOMENAL TODAY 🔥
Every single girl worked there socks off, fought for each other and battled so well. We created so many good chances and scored some fantastic goals ⚽️🔥

Darcey was super in goal. Stayed switched on, made some good saves and her distribution was on point 👏🏼

Lola, Amelia, Isobel, Layla, Freya and Betsy worked tirelessly in defence and midfield. Real hard working engine and kept Basford chances to a minimum. Battled for each other and stuck up for one another 💪🏼

Libbyella, Avannah, Annabelle, Amiyah, Sienna and Aiyalah were ruthless in attack today. Chasing everything, making some great passing moves and bullied there defence at times. Clinical finishes in front of goal, different gravy 🔥

A superb start to life as a team together and they have set the standard with a remarkable, commanding performance 👏🏼

Smiling ear to ear with pride now after that one. Promising signs for the upcoming season!

LIL’ LAYDIES PRESENTATION FUN DAY ⚽️🦁🎉

What an amazing day and turnout today 👏🏼

Today has filled us with so much pride having majority of our girls with all there families here celebrating our 1 year anniversary ❤️

Medals and awards giving out, lots of fun things happening including another mum v girls match ⚽️😬 a massive thank you to everyone for coming along and enjoying our day with us and supporting the girls as always 🥰

Thank you to Bounceabout Inflatables, Tasha Allen and Jodie Ann Mary Cherrill-Burroughs for providing all of the equipment and entertainment for our party today, we appreciate it so much 🙌🏼

ONE WHOLE YEAR OF LIL’ LAYDIES 💖⚽

One year ago, Lil’ Laydies started with a very simple idea…
To create a fun, safe and empowering place for girls to play football, make friends and grow in confidence.

Fast forward 1 year… and WOW 🤯
The memories, the laughter, the friendships, the smiles, the goals, the tournaments, the chaos, the fun… it’s become so much more than football.

From our very first sessions to now having incredible girls, amazing families, unforgettable moments and even our own teams preparing for league football… we are so proud of how far Lil’ Laydies has come 💖

Thank you to every single parent for the support.
Thank you to every single girl who has walked onto the pitch with us.
Thank you to everyone who believed in what we are building.

Well done to Isobel tonight! ⚽️👏🏼

A brilliant session from her this evening. Worked really hard in the passing and moving drills at the start 👏🏼 constantly on the move and making some great passes 🔥 she took on all coaching points and worked on everything really well 🙌🏼

She defended superbly in the match at the end. She made so many tackles and interceptions 💪🏼 she bossed it with her CB partner Layla. Made great passes into midfield also and starting attacks 🔥

Well done to Violet and Nev tonight! ⚽️👏🏼

Both girls worked really hard tonight and thoroughly deserved the awards. All the girls said both of there names for the awards before I even said them 👏🏼

Nev was a woman on a mission tonight. Flying into everything, and was showcasing some tekky skills tonight, flying past players and scored a couple of brilliant goals 🔥🔥🔥

Violet was brilliant in goal and outfield 👏🏼 ran her socks off. She defended really well for her team and made some great tackles 💪🏼 when she was in net, she pulled off some cracking saves 🙌🏼

Well done to the pair of you ⭐️
