Kayden joined the team at Under 10s and quickly became a huge part of the squad. An experienced and powerful player, he’s a strong ball carrier who isn’t afraid to take the game on and drive his team forward. He brings strength, determination and plenty of heart to the team, and you can always count on Kayden to give 100% from the first whistle to the last.

Next up we have the brothers of the team the other co captain Iwan Thomas, alongside Jake Thomas.

Iwan and Jake both joined the team as tiny tots and have been together ever since, another 2 successful and experienced players who absolutely love the game and are proud to pull on the jersey for New Tredegar ❤️💚. Years of experience, plenty of battles on the pitch, and still the same hunger and passion every time they step across that white line. There’s nothing quite like playing the game you love, but getting to do it alongside your brother makes it even more special. ❤️

We’re delighted to announce that:

❤️💚 Forwards Captain – Nye Price
Nye continues his role as co-captain from last season, taking on the responsibility of leading our forwards.

❤️💚 Backs Captain – Iwan Thomas
Iwan also continues as co-captain, now taking the lead with our backs.

❤️💚 Forwards Vice-Captain – Ronnie Strong

❤️💚 Backs Vice-Captain – Oakley Martin

A lot of thought has gone into these appointments, and we couldn’t be happier with the leadership group we’ve chosen.

The four of them will work closely together throughout the season, helping to drive the team forward, set expectations and standards, encourage one another and be a voice of reason within the group.

They’ll be at the heart of everything we’re trying to achieve and will play a huge part in helping us improve week in, week out.

Congratulations boys — lead with pride, support each other and continue to set the example. 👏🏉

🏉 FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON! 🏉

After 2 months of tough pre-season, the boys are finally ready for game day! ❤️💚

They’ve pushed themselves, been pushed by the coaches, and kept coming back wanting more. The last couple of weeks have really focused on our game plan and structures, and last night was honestly one of the best sessions we’ve had all year.

Confidence, communication, discipline and teamwork were absolutely spot on. A team run that would have taken hours last season was nailed in just 20 minutes! 👏🔥

They should be incredibly proud of themselves — and as parents, you should be proud of them too.

They’ve done everything they can. Now it’s time to enjoy Sunday!

🏉❤️💚 Congratulations to our Head Coach Craig! ❤️💚🏉

A massive congratulations to our head coach Craig, who has been given the captaincy of our senior rugby team for the third season running! 👏

What an incredible achievement and so well deserved. You’re an amazing role model for these boys to look up to not only as a rugby player and captain, but as someone who shows them the importance of hard work, commitment, respect, determination and always giving your best. The example you set both on and off the pitch is something these boys can learn so much from.

After winning the league and gaining promotion in the last two seasons, your leadership and achievements speak for themselves. 🏆🏆 Our boys are definitely in good hands having you as their coach, mentor and someone they can look up to.

We wish you and the senior team all the very best for the season ahead. Here’s to another successful season go and smash it Craig! 🏉💪❤️💚
