Saturday 4th December 2021.

Away trip to Billingham to restart the second half of the season.

10.30ko commenced:
GOOOOOOOAAAALLLL to Alexis, not even a minute on the board.
1-0 to New Marske.
The game went underway with Charly and Katie in CDM making their NM debuts, were in complete control and setting the tempo of the game. From breaking down play and gaining yards up the pitch. We got a corner 10 minutes into the game. Libby stepped up and saw Eden outside the 18 yard box and placed a perfect low pass that Eden took a touch and hit top corner, absolute screamer of a goal!!! 2-0 to NM.
The girls continued to control the tempo of the game, playing some amazing football.
It didn't take the girls long to make it 3-0 with Eden picking out Charly who marked her debut with a goal.

HT 4-3 to Billingham

Second half commenced:
Both NM and Billingham were pressing and wanting to be on the ball. Billingham scored another 2 goals to make it 6-3.
This is when the comeback started Grace playing CAM kept pressing high this was rewarded when she stole the ball straight from a goal kick to make it 6-4.
Last 15 minutes of the match and the girls kept pressing and pushing with Alexis coming close time and time again. Chances also fell to Charly, Katie, Hannah and Libby and we all could feel that something was coming.
A through ball played to Alexis who had the pace to beat Billingham's defence and slot it past the keeper 6-5 and game on!!!

Entering the 75th minute of the game and the girls were putting everything into finding an equaliser. Billingham were doing everything to not let us score. Last minute of the game and another through ball was played to Alexis who drove to the 18 yard box and was brought down. Free kick awarded to NM.

GOOOOOOAAAAALLLL! top left hand corner no chance anyone was saving that!
Whistle is blown

What a come back from the girls showing their fight and determination right till the very end.

Saturday 23rd October
New Marske u15 girls v Billingham Town u15 girls.
After the first fixture feeling more of a training match, today felt like a league fixture.
Playing on the senior pitch the girls were hyped and excited to get out there.

10am KO commenced:
The game started well both teams wanting to play their style with both teams battling for 1st and 2nd balls.
We knew Billingham would be playing a high line and we prepared for this.
The girls won the ball deep and moved it quickly out the back and played a through ball to Alexis who slotted past the keeper 1-0.
First half finished 1-2 to Billingham.

HT:

Second half KO:
Literally minutes played and Billingham were caught out again playing a high line. Another ball played through the gap in Billingham's defence and Faith with her pace took the ball past and again 1v1 with their keeper to level the score 2-2. Game on!

Billingham continued to play a high line and didn't learn from all the previous counters the threat New Marske held. New Marske continued to counter and stretching Billingham's defence out.
Again the girls caught Billingham too high up the pitch and another ball played through to Alexis who slotted home to make it 3-3.
Full time 3-3.
We couldn't be more prouder of the girls and how they conducted themselves on that pitch.
Showing great sportsmanship till the end.

The girls go again next week at home against Linthorpe.

Billingham u15 girls hosted the fixture
Saturday 25th September.
Due to covid the fixture was played out as an 8v8.

First half
New Marske started the game very well. Getting a lot of touches of the ball and pressing high. Libby taking the first chance of the game and the ball just going wide. New Marske continued to press with Faith winning the ball on the right wing stretching Billingham's defence, finding Alexis who shot just over the cross bar. New Marske didn't give up with a solid back line working tirelessly in defence to win the ball back and play it high.
Libby playing as striker today drove into the box and played the ball perfectly to Alexis who slotted it bottom right corner. I have never seen a ball take so long to cross over the line 1-0.
New Marske continued to press and battle for everything. Billingham caught us off and scored from a cross.
Billingham pressed and got the ball outside of the box and scored an absolute blinder.

Half time score 2-1

Second half underway and both teams battling for everything.

Billingham scored quickly making it 3-1.
Libby, Faith and Alexis broke with pace and Billingham's defence couldn't handle it. Free kick given to New Marske. Faith stepped up and made everyone think she was going for the pass, only to have a go and hit the cross bar.

Billingham continued to test us but our hard work at the back caused a lot of shots to be off target.
Our goalkeeper yet again showed how important she is to this team. Making some amazing saves 🙌 .
With no subs we started to tire but that didn't stop Faith and Libby with their pace continue to get past Billingham's defence and have parents nearly celebrating time and time again.

On another day the result could of definitely been a lot different

Well done New Marske girls. We go again next week at home to Guisborough.

New Marske U15 Girls vs Linthorpe Academicals U15 Girls
11.09.21

First game of the new season and we were hosted by Linthorpe.

Both teams had girls unavailable to play and so a 10v10 was agreed upon.
From the very first whistle both Linthorpe and New Marske showed their hunger for the game!
The quick passing and moving between Bella and Libby allowed us to secure a lead just seven minutes into play!
New Marske kept the tempo high with Alexis taking a chance at goal soon after, although the attempt was well defended by Linthorpe, our new captain Eden soon sent the ball to the back of the net to bring the score to 2-0.

With some really well constructed team play by both sides it was end to end stuff, Linthorpe brought to score to 2-1 keeping New Marske on their toes.

Not letting their determination drop the girls quickly organised and soon enough Grace was netting the ball! Unfortunately this time it was called offside. However Grace proved scoring was on the to-do list by scoring once more just before half time! HT score was 3-1 to New Marske Girls.

The second half was just as non stop as the first! Bella using her lightning pace down the right wing passed the defender and crossed the ball to Alexis who timed her run perfectly into the box to tap the ball in to make it 4-1.

Linthorpe were soon testing our defence, 3 goals from 3 counter attacks in the second half taking it to a 4-4 draw.

Both teams showed their determination and grit and should be proud of their performances! What a start to the season!

Great transfer window so far for New Marske u15 girls. We are still looking for a couple more girls to complete our squad. Great coaches and a great group of girls!
We currently train every Wednesday and Sunday with matches on a Saturday morning.
