Junior training is cancelled this week as the club has reached the semi-final of the Burghley 6s competition. Please come down to Burghley Park CC and support the club. Junior training will be back on as usual next week

Mixed results this weekend for both teams but still some good performances. A weakened Saturday 1sts (226-9) managed to compete well with a full strength Ramsey side (227-3) side with a great debut from Aussie Adam McDermott (80 from 77).

Saturday 2nds (183ao) won for the first time since 2014 comfortably beating Barnack (102ao). Great all-round performance from Phil Slinn (51 and 2-8) supported well by contributions from Nick Walker (29), Bob Cornish (3-24) and new recruit Jazzie (3-25), as well as a solid debut for 14 year old Isaac Rowles.

Sunday 1sts (250-6) made it two from two against a depleted Uppingham side (121ao). Excellent batting performances from Harrison Craig (82) and Tom Burns (52) as well as good contributions from Tom Norman (35) and Alex and Dan Bandaranaike (22 and 20* respectively). Adam McDermott picked up 3-37 on Rutland League debut and James Pope, Conor Craig and Martim Cordeiro picked up 2 wickets apiece.

Sunday 2nds (145) were beaten by a strong Hampton side (287-5) despite an excellent 66 from Keith Markham.

Good luck to the Under 13s and Under 15s who have their first fixtures this week on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.

Great to start the new season with a win Nassington 365-5 Ketton 247ao. Congrats to Tom Norman on his first Cambs League hundred (101*) and Conor Craig 97 from 56 balls. 4 wickets apiece for James Pope and Harrison Craig.

1sts at home to Peterborough Town tomorrow, 1pm start
