Stepped over the bridge to take on our next opponents in the handicap pairs.

As expected - it was a tough night, with injuries flairing, pimples popping and energy flailing.

Tim Sobey and Pete Cann tried, but failed..

At least it was nice to have a beer afterwards, and put the world to rights..

Another hard-fought battle for the Creekside Spinners this week at Truro. Again it could very easily have been a different story, but we still walked away with 4 points, so not a bad performance. The saints came marching in, however they were forced back from advancing by the home team.

Going 3-1 down felt like a big uphill..

Although we stepped up, and bought it to 4-4

Then the final doubles saw us at 4-5 down…

BUT the youngsters bought home the draw..

The Saints came marching into Redruth last Friday.

Knowing that a WIN would keep them in the top half of the table.

The 2 youth superstars, Neala and Fyn,n stepped up to take 5 games between them, whilst old hat Pete took all 3 (coming back from 2-0 down in one game)

Doubles was a tough-fought contest, but the saints took it..

9-1 Saints.

A great start to the league this year for the four Creekside teams including all our new players :) The teams have all been changed around a lot this year, so everyone's settling in with their new teammates and preparing for an awesome season ahead!

In Div3 - The Pirates picked up a valuable point, plus nearly snagged a few more vs a strong Mounts Bay team to finish 1-9.

In Div 2 - The Saints smashed it out of the park at St.Austell, beating their E team by 7-3.

In Div1 - The Spinners and the Renegades both ended their games at 4-6, with a lot of close matches that didn't go our way.

This week sees every team playing again, with a highlight being the Division 1 local Derby. All spectator seats are sold out, we're expecting a high-energy game all-round!

Just in case you didn't know, Creekside umpire/coach/player John Tuffery has found yet another table tennis enterprise to enjoy - he's now helping out at the 🏓Pendennis Community Centre TT Club🏓 every Monday at 3pm. The club is open to all and coaches like John are there to give guidance and support. It costs just £3 per adult, £1.50 for under-15s and there's no need to book: just turn up and play. Great evening's practice with Creekside hosting visitors from Redruth and Bristol. The four tables were in constant use and it was good to play old friends and new. Thanks to Lou, Greg, Andrew and Lynn for coming from Redruth, and to Neil and Steve for visiting from Portishead - hope to see you all again soon.

Congratulations to all the Creekside players who received awards at the WCTTL’s annual presentation evening.
Darren Fleming scooped the first trophy of the evening, taking the runner-up prize in the Consolation event of the Alan Knight Shield competition. Neala Cann took the runner-up prize in the main event, and the trio of Neala, Fynn Fleming and Luke Learney came home with the team award.
At the Divisional Championships, Fynn and Neala also won the Div 3 doubles event, with Fynn also triumphing in the Div 3 singles.
In Div 1, Jack Cortis and John Tuffery came out runners-up in the doubles, while Jack took top spot in the singles event.
And John Tuffery finished off a successful evening for Creekside by receiving the Endeavour Award.
