This weekends results! On Saturday, despite the hot weather, both teams were back to winning ways! The Sunday XI also won at Hockwold.

The 1st XI travelled away to Rocklands. After winning the toss and batting, we set 157 all out. In reply, Mundford came out quickly and struck a few early wickets, putting early pressure on the opposition. Mundford took regular wickets and Rocklands finished up on 90 all out. MOTM must go to Josh Brown, who bowled an awesome spell of 4-14 and top scored with 33 in a considerably low scoring game. Well done mate! 👏

The 2nd Xi hosted Snettisham CC. A very similar sort of game to the 1sts. Mundford set 176 all out in 38 overs, with the captain Mark Milner scoring 52 from the same amount of balls. After a great all-round bowling performance, 176 proved to be too many runs for Snettisham to chase, who were bowled all out for 55, Toby Rickard 3-5.

The Sunday XI travelled to Hockwold in their first league game of the season. In even hotter conditions than the day before, Mundford lost the toss and were put into field. Hockwold set a large total of 238 all out, with Natty Thulbourne taking a tidy 4-32! Mundford managed to chase 238, losing 6 wickets and a few overs to spare. Kerry Howes 56 (70), Ollie Long 83 (52).

Well done everybody, we hope to carry on the winning form on Wednesday night in our first round of the Mundford Cup! 🦌 🏏

This weekend’s fixtures! Both Saturday sides will be looking to bounce back from last week’s losses whilst the Sunday side looks to carry on their good form away at Hockwold. Go well Lads!

Results from the weekend are in!

Saturday saw both sides losing their first league games of the season. Our 1st XI failed to chase 210 vs Hethersett & Tas Valley Cc, falling short by 102 runs.

The 2nd XI had a tighter match against Thornham CC. Thornham set 218 all out. Special mention to Alan Palmer for taking 5 wickets from his 10 overs! In reply, after losing a few key early wickets, Mundford battled back with Robin Yates 54 and Mark Milner 42, but ultimately the total was just too far out of reach, finishing on 170 all out.

Onto Sunday, Mundford beat Terrington St Clement CC in a reduced 30 over cup game. The hosts batted first, scoring 176/9 from their 30 overs. Mundford chased this total with 16 balls spare, with Kieron Long scoring 76* (42), and Ryan Woods 46 (62). Well done to the all of the Sunday side for progressing through to the Quarter Finals of the Challenge Cup, where we will host Swaffham CC on 12th July. 🏏 🦌
