As we bring our league season to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to say a huge well done to all of the girls. The development of every individual player has been incredible. Your dedication, commitment and hard work throughout the season have been great and you should all be very proud of what you have achieved.

A huge thank you to our three coaches for the incredible time, effort, support and dedication you have given to the girls this season. Your commitment has helped them grow not only as footballers, but also as confident, resilient and supportive young people. We are so grateful for the encouragement, patience and positive example you set every week. Thank you for everything you do – it is truly appreciated by all the girls and their families.

Also a thank you to all of our parents for their continued support throughout the season—it is greatly appreciated.

We are excited to build on everything we have learned this year as we make the move to 9v9 football. The girls have one more training session before a well-deserved break, after which we’ll return ready to work hard and prepare for the challenges ahead.

We also have the Edinburgh Cup in August to look forward to. It’s always a fantastic day for the whole team and will provide another exciting challenge as the girls continue their transition into 9v9 football. We know they’ll be ready for it!

The girls travelled to Falkirk yesterday to take on Falkirk Blues in our final league game of the season.

The girls played well and worked hard for each other as a team throughout the match. There were some great passages of play, excellent link-ups and plenty of positive football on display. We can really see the relationships, trust and understanding within the team continuing to grow and it’s fantastic to watch. We created a number of chances and were unlucky not to score more goals, but the effort and teamwork were there for all to see.

Skyelah was brilliant yesterday. She never gave up and worked tirelessly for her team from start to finish. She covered every area of the pitch and constantly put pressure on the opposition defenders and goalkeeper. A massive thank you to ARG Travel for their continued support of Holytown Colts 2015 Girls.

We are incredibly grateful for the generous donation of new size 4 training balls and match balls as we prepare to move up to 9v9 football in August. This is such an important step for the girls and having the right equipment makes a huge difference to both training and matchdays.

Support like this helps our team grow, develop, and continue enjoying the game together. Grassroots football relies heavily on local businesses and community backing and we honestly can’t thank ARG Travel enough for believing in our team and helping our players progress.

The girls welcomed Dunblane today for a league fixture, with both teams agreeing to play 9v9 to give the players valuable experience ahead of next season. Our previous match against each other was a closely fought game, so the girls knew this was going to be another tough test.

It took the girls a little while to get going and they went into half-time one goal down. However, they came out fighting in the second half and never gave up. The team played some fantastic football with great passing play, strong defensive work and positive attacking football. Every player understood their role and worked hard for each other, which helped secure a well-deserved win.

A huge well done to the girls for believing in themselves and each other, continuing to battle and playing the football they know they are capable of.

Next Sunday is looking likely to be the final game of the season for the girls. They have had a fantastic season at U12 7v7 level and are now ready to continue their development and teamwork as they move into 9v9 football next season.

The girls played against Cumbernauld Colts at home yesterday and once again it was a great game for the team.

The girls played some brilliant football throughout the match, with some excellent passing play and some lovely goals. It was another fantastic team performance and week by week you can really see both the individual and team progression, which is fantastic to watch.

Another great performance from Porsche in midfield. She was relentless from start to finish, covering every area of the pitch and never giving up. Strong on the ball, brilliant footwork and topped off her performance with a well-deserved goal.

The girls travelled to Inchyra Park today to take on Central Girls. Another tough game on grass in warmer weather, but the team were ready for the challenge.

With two strong sides going head-to-head, it made for a brilliant and well-fought match. The girls worked incredibly hard for each other against strong opposition and were solid all over the pitch. We played some of the best football we’ve produced so far and it was fantastic to see the girls putting into practice what they’ve been working on in training.

Although we didn’t manage to find the back of the net, we created plenty of chances and goal-scoring opportunities throughout the game. The coaches were extremely proud of the effort, teamwork and overall performance from every player today.

Player of the Match : Libby 🌟

From the very first minute, Libby came out strong and never stopped working. She was all over the pitch throughout the game and gave everything for the team. Her effort and attitude were outstanding and she showed great strength and determination from start to finish and never gave up. A well deserved Player of the Match performance!

The girls made the trip to Dunblane this morning for their latest league fixture. Playing on grass can always be a challenge but they adapted well and got stuck in from the start.

Both teams came out strong, making it a fast-paced, end-to-end game that was great to watch. There was some excellent passing play—especially in the first half—along with plenty of effort and competitive physical battles throughout.

As always, there are areas to keep building on. The coaches will be focusing on decision-making in future sessions—encouraging the girls to slow the game down when needed, clear their lines effectively and trust their own judgement on the pitch. Continuous improvement is the goal and it's great to see the progress already being made.

Another strong game for a strong team. Well done girls 🖤❤️

Friday Night Football ⚽️

Last night the girls played a 9v9 friendly, this time against Shotts. These two teams always deliver a good game and this one was no different — a really positive performance all round.

The effort and attitude were excellent. We moved the ball well, played some great football and looked strong throughout. We created plenty of chances but just couldn’t quite capitalise on them this time. There was some fantastic moments of both individual and team play.

Well done, girls — a strong game at 9s. It’s all about continuing to challenge ourselves, learn and prepare for the step up.

⭐ Player of the Match – Porsche ⭐

Porsche has recently joined the team and what a fantastic addition she’s been. She’s slotted in brilliantly — quickly making friends and becoming a valued part of this great group. She played both midfield and defence last night and was brilliant in both roles. Great footwork, pace and effort earned her a well deserved player of the match.
