⚽️⚽️ Some hard fought games at this mornings tournament . We split our teams into 2 ( Blues and Whites ) to maximise game time and there was some fantastic football on display from all 4 teams .

Well done to Milano who edged our Whites in the final which was well deserved 👏

And a massive thanks to Nathan Brown for organising and reffing 👏

Yesterday we followed up last weeks crazy draw against Darras Hall with a game against Wideopen being our last league game of 2025!

We held our own in the first half of the first hard but Wideopen showed thier class with a few quick fire goals before half time , with our boys getting one back thanks to a worldie strike from our no8!

Second half we started well again but we couldn’t cope with the pace and skill of the opposition as they ran out comfortable winners .

Tough one for the lads but another great learning curve for them ⚽️⚽️

⚽️⚽️ Back to winning ways ⚽️⚽️

Yesterday the lads took on Gosforth Bohemians Greens at Cochrane Park. We clicked into gear from the off , pressing high to win the ball back in good areas and getting ourselves a few goals ahead with some fantastic clinical finishes . Bohemians grew into the game and showed their quality to get a goal back but we went into half time with a good lead .

The second half was much more of a test for the boys as Bohemians grew and grew, made harder for us when two of our players clashed heads in a nasty collision , thankfully the boys are ok and very bravely played on. We managed to see out the game and earn our first win since the new league split !

🏆 Coaches player of the match - no9 , superb all round display on and off the ball. Fantastic link up play and 2 good finishes

🏆 Opposition player of the match - no4 , solid no nonsense defensive performance and took his first goal for the team really well despite the bang on the head only a few minutes earlier .

Our best performance of the season particularly in the first half when we were at our best . Well done everyone and good luck to Gosforth in the remaining games ⚽️⚽️

A tough game yesterday vs Amble Links , our lads fought til the end but Links just too strong on the day . Well done everyone ⚽️

This morning the u8s looked to bounce back from last weeks defeat against some familiar faces at Amble AFC Napoli!

We looked to play out from the back a bit better than last week and play it through the thirds quicker. We started brightly, playing some decent football and winning our duels. We pulled away in the first half scoring some good goals and kept up the tempo throughout to take the 3 points.

A good game played in good spirits amongst friends. Good luck to the Napoli lads for the rest of the season!

⚽️⚽️ Defeat for the lads on return to league action ⚽️⚽️

Yesterday the lads returned to league action at Cochrane Park and played the first game since the new league split against Wallsend .

We got off to a great start , taking the lead in the first 10 seconds ! It wasn’t long before Wallsend kicked into gear , scoring two quick fire goals to take the lead . Despite another fantastic goal from our number 3 after great work from no7 , we went into half time a few goals behind .

The second half was as tough as the first as we struggled to live with Wallsend’s pace and power . The lads kept going til the end but unfortunately we weren’t good enough on the day. Plenty to learn from the lads in a new league that will certainly be a challenge for us . Special mention to our new number 4 on his debut for the team , and our goalkeeper for some excellent saves to keep us in it .

Well done to Wallsend who were a quality side especially playing a year up and good luck for the rest of the season ⚽️⚽️.

🏆🏆🏆Tournament Triumph! 🏆🏆🏆

Today we made the trip to Bullocksteads for a Tournament , our first for a long time !

We started well winning our first game with two great finishes. A slow start cost us in the second game as were beaten . Our final group game saw us come from behind twice to gain a valuable point !

We then had a long cold wait to see who we faced in the semi final which showed as we started slowly , falling behind against the run of play. The lads didn’t panic and we equalised with a couple minutes to go after some brilliant team play. The semi final finished 1-1 and so the dreaded penalty shoot out was needed to decide the winner . Our 3 penalties were excellent and we advanced to the final after our opponents hit the post with one of thier penalties .

The final brought back familiar faces as we came up against a team we played in the group stage . We saved our best performance for the final , the lads didn’t put a foot wrong and ran out comfortable winners .

Absolutely brilliant effort from the lads with only having 5 players , no subs so having to play every single minute . Coaches and parents are very proud of their attitude , effort and football on display.

Special mention to our goalkeeper who received the player of the tournament award for some fantastic saves and a clean sheet in the final !

⚽️New strips bring goals as the lads return to winning ways ⚽️

Today we played Whitley Bay FC Athletico at Cochrane Park with the lads looking put on a performance in thier new away kits !

We started well going a few goals up early on but credit to Whitley Bay who didn’t give up and got a couple goals back including a penalty . This only spurred us on and some brilliant team moves brought us more goals , our focus on passing and moving really showing .

The second half brought more of the same , every player chipping in with a goal carrying on our first half display as we were ended up comfortable winners in the end . Some great team goals and some unselfish play .

Well done to Whitley Bay who kept going right til the end .

⚽️⚽️Lads give thier all against strong opponents ⚽️⚽️

Saturday we played Newcastle City Juniors at Cochrane park . We travelled knowing we would be up against it a high quality side . After falling to two early goals the boys managed to get one back and make the first half competitive. The quality of our opposition began to show but to the lads credit they never gave up despite a number of goals scored against it and to their credit we scored another , hit the post and missed a penalty . The boys kept smiling and kept going and hopefully it’s another lesson learned against a high quality side on their football journey . Well done boys ⚽️
