⚽ U8 COSMOS IN FRIENDLY ACTION ⚽

The U8 Cosmos played a midweek friendly over at Bedlington United tonight in one final match before the season gets underway on Saturday.

Amble started brightly and deservedly took the lead, but Bedlington responded well, equalising before adding a couple more to put themselves in front.

The lads showed great character once again, fighting their way back into the game to level the scores before completing another fantastic comeback to move back in front.

Unfortunately, we conceded a couple of late goals in the final stages to bring the game to a high-scoring draw.

We probably would have held on for the win, but the referee decided to add 3 minutes of stoppage time! 😅

Another great comeback from the lads and plenty of positives to take into Saturday.

Well done boys.!! 👍

⚽️ Sunday Galaxy Match Report ⚽️

The Sunday Galaxy team played Ellington at lunchtime today.

Amble found themselves a couple of goals behind early on, and Ellington would go on to add a third. But the lads dug deep and showed great character to fight their way back to level the game.

Unfortunately, a couple of errors late on allowed Ellington to score twice more and take the win.

Plenty of positives to take from the game, especially the fightback and determination shown by the lads.

Well done, Galaxy! 👏

🚀 U8 COSMOS MATCH REPORT.!! 🚀

Our Cosmos played Cramlington Juniors Hoops this morning at Seaton Valley High School.

It was a windy one, but the lads played some fantastic football in the first half and created plenty of chances. Despite the good football, we went into half time all square.

In the second half we dropped off a little and conceded a couple of goals, but fair play to the boys — they showed great character and lifted it in the final 10 minutes to fight their way back level.

A fantastic game for the neutral, with plenty of action and a great battle from both teams. 👏

🔹️U8 Cosmos Match Report 🔹️

The lads took part in the Nex Gen Tournament yesterday afternoon over at Bullocksteads.

They had a fantastic tournament, going unbeaten throughout the group stages and putting in some great performances along the way.

Unfortunately, they fell just short in the semi-final, but the lads can be really proud of their efforts.

Well done to everyone involved — another great experience and plenty of positives to take away! ⚽️

⚽️ U8 GOALKEEPER AND OUTFIELD PLAYERS WANTED! ⚽️

Amble AFC Juniors U8 Galaxy (Low - Mid level) are looking for a goalkeeper to join our Sunday team for the upcoming season in the Northumberland Football League.

We also have a space for a mid - level player to join our Cosmos Saturday team.

We're looking for children who will be starting Year 3 this September.
Whether your child is already a goalkeeper or an outfield player and would like to give it a go, we'd love to hear from you!

🔹️U8 COSMOS / GALAXY FRIENDLY🔹️

A mix of our U8 Cosmos and Galaxy teams took on Heaton Hawks this morning, over at what seems to be becoming our second home — Benfield!

It was a fantastic game from start to finish, with plenty of back-and-forth football from both teams.

Amble came out on top in a really competitive game and played some really good football at times. 👏⚽️

Good luck to Heaton for the season ahead. 🤝

U8 Cosmos – Pre-Season Friendly

The U8 Cosmos continued their pre-season with a friendly at Benfield this morning.

It was a really humid morning, and with only one substitute, the lads had to work extremely hard. A few of the boys also took their turn in goal, showing great teamwork and willingness to help the team.

We went behind early on but fought brilliantly to get the game back level. Unfortunately, we couldn't find the winner and Wallsend grabbed a late goal to take the win.

Despite the result, it was a fantastic game and the lads were excellent against a very physical team.

Plenty of positives to take as we continue preparing for the new season. 💙⚽

🔹️U8 In-House Friendly🔹️

Tonight, two of our U8 teams went head-to-head in an in-house friendly, with players from our Galaxy and brand-new Sounders teams taking to the pitch.

It was a special evening as it was the Sounders' very first friendly. The team is continuing to learn how each other plays, and the improvement they are showing with every training session is fantastic to see.

Despite the tough, windy conditions, everyone gave their all, played with smiles on their faces, and had a great time. A brilliant evening of football and another positive step forward for all of the players.

🔹️U8 Galaxy Match Report🔹️

The U8 Galaxy boys welcomed Wallsend Emeralds to Welfare Park this morning. Thankfully, the rain only made a brief appearance before the football took centre stage.

The lads played some excellent football and were only narrowly beaten. On another day, if we'd taken a few more of our chances, it could have been a very different scoreline—but that's football!

Most importantly, it was another great run out and some valuable match practice for the boys, who continue to improve every week.
