Ladies Rec Festival at Cobham this evening and we had the best time!

Met some great ladies, played some great football, went unbeaten for 5 games in a row but sadly fell at the last hurdle with one goal conceded to knock us out of the final!

For a first attempt for many of our players even playing 7 a side football, and for some never having played tournament football before, we are going to take that as nothing but a positive! And to say we held off the winning team in a draw in the early stages of the tournament gives us something to be proud of!

Huge congratulations to Old Tiffinians for winning this evenings tournament! We look forward to meeting you again in the future! 🫡

Emily - Player of the tournament with an incredible stint that kept up solid and tight defensively! 🏆

Shannon - our keeper who stepped in last minute to only concede 1 goal in 6 games!

Serena - rock solid at the back and unbeatable in possession!

Erin - newly switched to left wing and we feel like we won the lottery finding her that position!

Evie - SO unlucky not to get a goal but lightening up the wing while battling for her life on the track!

Mel - Just never gives up and would rather cut off her fingers than lose possession!

Jess - Sensational play, and saved my skin a few times tracking back to win the challenge!

Naomi - Gave it her all in a stint up top and was a powerhouse through the middle with her long range strikes!

Aleyna - First ever tournament/7 a side game and walked away with a goal… enough said!

Ladies, it was a pleasure to coach you and play alongside you today! Looking forward to the next one! 💚⚽️🦅

Our U13s Youth team kick started our season today vs Redhill Badgers with a sensational display!

These girls played for the first time as a team and kept a well established group at bay for most of the game, pushed attacks, defended with passion and heart and ran for the full 50 minutes with no subs!

Couldn’t be more proud of them today! 🤩

💚 Rosie was our POTM with an outstanding performance in goal and outfield, always running and moving and playing with fire in her soul 🔥 congratulations Rosie! 💚

Join us at Morden Recreation Ground from 6.30pm-7.30pm every Tuesday for training, with the season getting started in September!

We are all abilities and aim to teach with positive feedback, encouraging teamwork and bonding within our teams. We have an amazing group of girls already working hard for next season and we’re looking for a couple more to add to our squads!

Our club need your help!

Our funding is due to be approved for 75% of the costs for winter floodlights and storage to ensure we can continue training at our home ground throughout winter.

As a startup club, we just don’t have the funds necessary to train on 3G pitches throughout the winter due to the pitch hire involved, meaning we will have to continue using our grass pitch from October-March. These months get extremely dark in the winter very early and it means we will have nowhere to train where we can see! This funding is crucial for us to continue developing our players and to achieve the aims we have planned for our future.

We need to provide the remaining 25% of the costs to complete the sale, so we are asking for help for us to meet our target!

🚨 EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

We are excited to announce that Emerald Eagles are growing AGAIN!

To ensure the continued development of our youth program and offer young girls the opportunity to play football after the high school years, our committee have made the important decision to build a competitive team for the 27/28 season to be entered into the Women’s pyramid in tier 7!

Open trials will be held in early 2027 for players aged 16+ and will officially bridge the gap between youth and senior players within our club!

This is a huge opportunity for us as a small club, and we are super excited for what this means for our future!

Our senior recreational teams will be unaffected by this change, and we will continue to remain within the Surrey Flexi league with our primary focus being to ensure women of all ages and abilities have the opportunity to play football no matter their experience!

Our ethos as a club will also remain unchanged, ensuring all players are treated with dignity and respect and developing all teams with positivity and integrity.
