Light shopping and came across this beauty.
I used to think being happy was the most important thing we could aim for in life. It took me a long time to realise being constantly happy is not a healthy reality.
There will be times when we feel pleasant emotions like happiness, pride, excitement. Likewise we will all feel sadness, fear and anger at times too. All of these feelings will come and go just like the seasons. No single emotion is better or more important than the other, they are all valid and have a place in our lives. We need to notice the feelings and recognise them for what they are. Approach your feelings with gentle curiosity and playfulness. What is causing this state of mind? What is my body trying to tell me?
Please note, if you are persistently feeling sad, depressed, anxious or angry please seek help. There is no shame in taking care of your body and mind.
For now, instead of seeking happiness, I am aiming to be content. Content with whatever life throws at me and accepting the good and the bad for what it is. A part of nature and a part of life.
