Abermule Ladies Football

We recently found out about the passing of our treasured friend and teammate Sarah.

Sarah brought laughter, experience, skill, her fiercely competitive spirit and comradery to our sessions and taught us all so much by setting such a high standard. Sarah’s natural skill shone through in every session, with us often shaking our heads in wonder at her step overs and ability to run rings around us all with such ease. But above all, Sarah oozed energy, enthusiam and a kind heart; taking time to get to know new members and making everyone feel like part of the team.

Tomorrow we will be having a kick about alongside past and present teammates from Abermule, Berriew and Newtown in Sarah’s memory. If any of Sarah’s past teammates want to join us, we are meeting at Abermule football pitch 7:30pm tomorrow evening and will raise a glass in her memory following the session. This is not an organised event, but a chance for all of us who have had the pleasure of playing alongside Sarah, to get together and remember what a special person she was!

We will all miss Sarah so much and offer our deepest condolences to Sarah’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time. ❤️

Our first ‘HUDDLE’ session went ahead this evening. All of the girls who attended should feel very proud of themselves. Lots of fun had and looking forward to next week.

We have just heard that our very own Helen Davies won the Jeff Saycell Player of the Tournament award 🏆

We have had the absolute best day! 2nd place in the final to a fantastically experienced Aber Town!

Aber Football 7’s 2025 | Women’s Group A

The draw for the Women’s Tournament is underway, and Group A is shaping up to be a strong and exciting contest.

We look forward to welcoming these teams to the pitch this May Bank Holiday. Fixture details to follow.

Tomorrow night the reserves travel to Llansantffraid to take on Trefonen FC in the final of the Village Cup.

Last Wednesday a few members of the men’s reserves team came along and helped us with our session. The lads really taught us all a lot through game based drills. Their encouragement and experience was really valuable and by the end of the session we had all learned a lot. We all really enjoyed it 🙌🏼🤩 here is a lil clip of the girls after playing a few mini matches against the lads 👏🏼 a little reminder also that this weeks session is starting at 7pm!
