Amy Twigge takes the next step in her development with The Hera Project.
Amy’s journey into cycling followed a similar path to Team Principal Christine White, progressing through the British Cycling RISE Scholar programme and gaining experience at Continental, WorldTour and Great Britain Junior Women’s level.
Mentored by Christine during the RISE programme, Amy has continued to develop her skills and experience within elite women’s racing, gaining valuable exposure to the sport at the highest levels. Now a UCI-qualified Directeur Sportif, she will continue that journey with Hera as we strengthen the support structure around our riders and invest in the future of women’s cycling.
With more than 15 years of coaching experience in high-performance sport, Amy brings valuable expertise in athlete development, leadership and performance environments. Her passion lies in supporting female athletes and helping create opportunities for women both on and off the bike.
At The Hera Project, developing women in cycling extends far beyond riders. Creating opportunities for coaches, support staff, managers and future leaders within the sport sits at the heart of our mission, and Amy’s continued development is another example of that commitment in action.
Based in France, Amy will continue her professional development with Hera whilst pursuing her long-term ambition of working within the French racing scene. Her involvement also strengthens our growing links with European racing as we continue to develop our ambitions on the continent.
We’re excited to continue the journey together.
