Are YOU Confident Cycling in our County?
Wrexham County Borough Council are offering Free cycling courses for adults or families to gain confidence in cycling on our city roads.
The courses will be delivered by Seiclo Clwyd Ltd, who deliver our cycle training courses in Schools across the county. Their instructors are all qualified National Standards Cycling Instructors; they are trained first aiders and hold an enhanced DBS certificate.
You will need a roadworthy bike. A cycling helmet is strongly recommended. Wear appropriate clothing for the weather, e.g. waterproofs and gloves.
Access to WCBC owned cycles and helmets could be organised as long as Seiclo Clwyd are provided with enough time and information.
Please remember to bring water and food/snacks to ensure good levels of concentration!
The courses will start with basic cycle handling away from traffic, progressing to quiet streets and then busier routes.
The courses will be limited to 6 riders per course and will start at 09:30 on the following dates and the course will take up to 4 hours:
14th, 15th, 21st and 22nd August 2025
There are different start locations on each day as follows:
