SUP + Bushcraft

Last weekend we had the pleasure of sharing the stunning beauty of Llyn Mymbyr with guests from the Wellness and Walking Holidays | Retreats and Wellness Breaks retreat, staying at Erw Glas Glamping & Camping .

The day began with some coaching and a micro lake adventure on the water, taking in the incredible views of Eryri. Back on shore, everyone got hands-on with expert bushcraft tuition from Jonathan Gill , learning den-building, fire-lighting skills and whittling techniques.

To round off the experience, we brewed up a well-earned cuppa on the Kelly Kettle Outdoor Gear Kettle enjoyed some homemade Mars Bar cake, lovingly baked by Caz.

Simple adventures, new skills, great company and a beautiful place to connect with nature…

Sunday afternoons on the Dee…be like!

A month or so ago, I met Julie and Anne at the weekend hosted by . They joined one of my sessions, full of enthusiasm and eager to learn more—and they certainly meant it!

This Sunday, I took them out on a river for their very first introduction to river paddling and moving water. Fuelled by homemade Mars Bar crispy cakes and a brew, they tackled a solid 14km on the River Dee and finished the day still asking for more…part 2 incoming!!

Watching paddlers build confidence, learn new skills, and discover a love for river paddling is what it’s all about.

Summer is here and we’ve got a fantastic mix of tours, coaching, river adventures, and community events lined up throughout June. Check out what’s coming up this month below 👇🏼

7th June | Intermediate River Dee Tour – ideal for paddlers looking to build confidence and develop their river skills on moving water.

10th June | Evening SUP Tuition at Eccleston Ferry, Chester. Join us from 6.00pm–8.00pm for an after-work paddle and skills session.

12th, 13th & 14th June | We’ll be at the White Water Festival, celebrating all things white water with

20th June | SUP Tuition sessions at Eccleston Ferry. Choose from either the 9.00am or 11.30am session, perfect for beginners and paddlers looking to improve their technique.

21st June | Coastal Skills session – it’s back!!! Come and develop your confidence, safety awareness, and paddling skills in a coastal environment.

24th June | Evening SUP Tuition at Eccleston Ferry, Chester from 6.00pm–8.00pm.

28th June | Our monthly River Clean on the Dee returns in partnership with . Help us keep our waterways clean and enjoy a paddle with purpose.

We also offer corporate events, team-building activities, private coaching, guided tours, and gift vouchers throughout the year.

Seeing yourself in HD, 5 metres high on the big screen at is definitely a surreal moment!!

So proud to be part of sharing the work of and helping inspire more people to get involved in protecting and restoring our waterways.

Every conversation, every volunteer, and every small action makes a difference to the Dee.

Our volunteers are what make our Dee river cleans possible…

It was fantastic to welcome both familiar and new faces back to the river once again. This clean marks the start of our monthly summer river cleans — and our fourth year supporting the effort.

Every clean makes a real difference to the health of the Dee, and we’re proud to support the incredible work does. Did you know Caz is also a Trustee?
