🏆 CUP MATCH
Upper Annandale Football Club 3–2 Inter Galloway AFC & Community Youths
Cup football. Five goals. A yellow card. A Jack Howe double. And somehow, one Inter Galloway player managed to collect five red cards. 😂
Just your average quiet afternoon for the Uppers.
Uppers got themselves off to the perfect start after just six minutes, and this one was straight off the training ground.
A well-worked corner was played perfectly, with Lochlan finishing it off to put Uppers 1–0 up. ⚽️
Clearly the manager had his tactics spot on… although we’ll conveniently ignore the other 84 minutes and just focus on that corner. 😂👏

Inter Galloway weren’t going away quietly, though, and they grabbed an equaliser to bring the game level at 1–1.
Then came the first bit of cup drama…
Inter Galloway’s No. 16 was shown a red card. 🟥
Not one red card. Not two. Not three. Not four.
Five red cards for the same player. 😂🟥🟥🟥🟥🟥
Despite the madness, Uppers couldn’t find another goal before the break, and the teams went in level.
Half-time: Uppers 1–1 Inter Galloway
The second half had barely started when Kaven picked up a yellow card in the 46th minute for a foul. 🟨
Four minutes later, Uppers were back in front.
Up stepped Jack Howe, who found the net in the 50th minute to make it 2–1. ⚽️
The game remained competitive, but in the 72nd minute, that man Jack Howe was at it again.
GOAL! 3–1 Uppers. ⚽️⚽️
Two goals for Jack and Uppers suddenly had one foot in the next round.
But Inter Galloway weren’t finished and managed to pull one back to make it 3–2.
And we can’t really talk about that goal without mentioning the Uppers keeper, who suddenly developed a serious case of butter fingers. 🧤🧈😂
He’ll tell you the ball was slippery…
Everyone else will tell him to just catch it next time. 😂
Thankfully, the lads held on, so we can laugh about it now! 😂⚽️
After a few nervous moments, the final whistle arrived and Uppers had done enough to book their place in the next round.

A proper cup tie — goals, cards, drama, a corner routine straight off the tactics board, a keeper auditioning for a Lurpak advert and one opposition player apparently trying to collect red cards like football stickers. 😂

Credit to the whole squad for digging in and getting the job done — and, of course, to the manager for getting the tactics absolutely spot on. 😉
