🥋 GRADING DAY – SATURDAY 12TH SEPTEMBER 🥋

Our next grading is nearly here!

For those students who are ready to take their next step, please head over to karatestarters.com to download and print your grading form.

Please make sure your form is completed and brought with you on grading day.

Over the next couple of weeks, keep practising, keep listening in class and most importantly, just do your best. Grading is your opportunity to show everything you've been working hard on.

🥋 BANK HOLIDAY REMINDER 🥋

Just a quick reminder that MK Family Karate will be CLOSED on Monday 31st August for the Bank Holiday.

If you normally train on a Monday, please try to attend one of our other classes that week where possible, so you don't have to miss out on your training. 🥋

We hope all of our students and families enjoy the extra day together, and we'll look forward to seeing you back in class!

🌒🥋 KARATE IS ON AS NORMAL TONIGHT! 🥋🌒

We know lots of our students and families are hoping to see this evening's solar eclipse, so don't worry — we'll be finishing karate promptly at 6.15pm as usual.

And the timing couldn't be much better! The eclipse begins in Milton Keynes at around 6.16pm, with the maximum eclipse at around 7.12pm. 🌞🌙

So you can train first, then head outside and enjoy the eclipse afterwards!

🥋 Karate finishes — 6.15pm
🌒 Eclipse begins — 6.16pm
🌘 Maximum eclipse — 7.12pm

We'll make sure everyone is on their way at 6.15pm sharp!

Please remember to view the eclipse safely and never look directly at the Sun without proper eclipse glasses/solar viewing protection.

☀️ Class Cancelled Today ☀️

After carefully considering the Red Heat Warning and today's extreme temperatures, we've decided to cancel this evening's karate classes.

This wasn't an easy decision, but as instructors our priority is always the safety of our students. With many of our members being children, we feel it's the responsible thing to do.

Please make sure everyone stays cool, drinks plenty of water and takes care in the heat.

Thank you for your understanding. We'll be back next week and can't wait to see everyone then.

If you've sent me a message regarding gradings, memberships or enquiries, replies may be a little slower than usual over the next few days while I navigate a mountain of cardboard boxes and discover just how much stuff a family of four can accumulate! 😅
