Been hitting pullups as part ofnthe back section of my push/pull workout.

It's good to mix calisthenics in with the weights.

Almost every exercise is a compound movement using multiple muscles as support maximising calorie burn and building real strength, especially in the shoulders and lats.

Not bad for 39 years old. I'm 40 in August No excuses.

Starting at the gym can be nerve racking. Hell it was for me at first.

You see other members lifting weights you think you'll never hit. But you show up anyway.

After a while people notice you're putting in the effort.

One day you lifted a certain weight that used to feel heavier. So you load up some more and someone asks if you want a spotter.

They give you tips, complement your progress. Just gotta keep at it. We all start somewhere. This is your story now.
