The Stitchery

Textile Artist and Patchwork Quilter. My name is Klaire and I love Hand Stitching and Machine Stitching. And then there is our Daughter Kaitlin.

I have a wonderful Husband who supports The Stitchery 100% and is my sounding board for ideas and another pair of eyes on new designs. She is almost 6 years old and is The Stitchery's Trainee. She has her own work table in The Stitchery and she "works" alongside Mummy with her drawing and colouring work and is probably my biggest fan. And is definitely the biggest fan of all the ribbons, buttons a

nd fabric scraps I possess ! I originally was "Something Personal" and made all manner of cushions, wooden signs and personalised bits and bobs. But as time went on I found my true passion was Patchwork Quilts, Unique Cushions with Hand Stitched Details and Textile Art. I started to change over to The Stitchery in September 2014 and will be running both pages alongside each other whilst I build up my clientelle for The Stitchery. It's a big commitment to start again after already building up a successful small business, and it took me a while to decide what to do. But when it came down to it. I had to follow my heart. I shall be sad to eventually be saying Goodbye to Something Personal. But boy, I'm so excited to be saying........

I'm back !!

I've missed sewing so much over the last few years so I have decided to open back up for family tree cushions from now until Christmas. I may continue into 2019 but for now it's just until Christmas. So if you'd like to order one of these fabulously personal cushions which make great Christmas presents for those difficult to buy for because they have everything people!! You can pick your colour theme and let me do the work! Cushions priced at £65 plus postage and packaging.

Well, I'm thinking about starting to sell my work again. But on a much smaller scale. It would be made to order and there would be a waiting list as I wouldn't be able to do more than 1 or 2 orders a week. I will be concentraing mainly on family tree cushions as these are much loved by me and I adore making them. Pop me a pm if you are interested.

ANNOUNCEMENT ***************

I'm sure you will have noticed that I haven't been trading this year. This is officially an announcement to let you all know I have closed my business. I have thoroughly enjoyed my page but it was time to step back into the real world for me. I'm now a full time care worker in a Residential Childrens Home 👍👍
Thankyou all for supporting me and my page and who knows, maybe one day I'll be back. But for now it's cheerio and best wishes to you all ###

Today I have been sewing like crazy trying to finish the last bits before I can relax for Christmas. But I have finished this lovely cushion for the little girl in care. I made it so she can put it on her bed and it will feel like HER bed. Wherever she may be sleeping.
