As always, it was a pleasure to catch up with our Kwan Jang Nims and Sa Bom Nims at this month’s Ko Dan Ja Coffee!

Having this forum to talk over a coffee, ask questions and hear stories is a great way to build stronger connections with like-minded practitioners who we might otherwise only see once or twice a year.

Today, we were joined by EMTF Spain!

We are very grateful to Kwan Jang Nim Keerie for visiting our DoJang tonight to deliver his seminar.

A lot of knowledge was shared, new experiences had, and one of our new students got to shake hands with the skeleton!

It was good fun at the black belt class yesterday!

We covered the revised Il Soo S*k numbers, and hit the traditional forms hard!

Standards must stay high at Lion Pride!

A solid session tonight by our Monkston class!

I also wish to take this moment to wish Miss McKenna-Makmurdo and Miss Mistry the best of luck as they prepare to embark on their journeys at university!

Both have been students of mine for a long time! So it will be strange not having them around as often! Though I know we will all look forward to catching up with them again soon. (I won’t post the pics of them both when they were around 6 years old!)

The summer may be coming to an end, but what a summer we’ve had!

We have a new British Champion!!

Vashisht attended his first ever tournament, and with it being the European Moo Duk Kwan Tang Soo Do Federation - EMTF British Championships, it was a big stage to start his tournament journey!

Coming second in his first category was already a great achievement, but winning his sparring category was amazing!! 🥇 🥈

Rakesh claims back-to-back appearances on the podium as a black belt following placing at the Bristol Invitationals last year, with getting 3rd place in Adult men’s sparring! 🥉

Tristen came 3rd in his sparring category on his debut. When considering he was up against elite level fighters; he did an excellent job! 🥉

A huge well done to all the Lion Pride team!
