A Great game against a team we will play in our new division this coming season following our promotion
The boys were at it from the start, trying to get control and look for the space.
We had a flurry of chances but just could not find the right final pass or finish. Our set piece delivery from corners was exceptional, we just could not get it in the net.
Joey even had time for an extravagant Bicycle kick, only just missing the goal 😁
Ironically, it was from a set piece we went behind. Against the run of play the opposition won a free kick and an outstanding shot saw it fly into the top corner. 1-0 to Riverside Juniors
We continued to get into some really good positions and put them under even more pressure but went into half time 1-0 down.
The Boys knew what needed to be done and Wow, did they go and do it, communication, pressing, control, they were flying.
6 Brilliant Goals in the second half to finish 6-1.

A really good match for the boys today, taking on a really good technical girls team.
The momentum moved back and forth and on the 20th minute, Joey played a great pass to Charlie who played Bobby through. Off went Bobby and calmly slotted home to make it 1-0
Going into the 2nd half the boys looked to have the momentum with the girls keeper brilliantly saving a number of chances. 8 minutes in and a momen or great play from the girls got a ball across the front of goal and the girls equalised 1-1
4 minutes later and Cole burst down the wing, cut back in and Joey got his left foot on it, the keeper saved the shot but the ball just trickled in.
Some really good positives to take from the match and plenty of opportunities to work on.
Huge Shoutout to Harley and Joey from South Park Rangers u11 Blues for stepping up to help us out whilst we still aren’t at full strength with a few on holiday still.

⚽️ TOURNAMENT DAY ⚽️

Yesterday was our annual South Park Tournament and our U12 Age group was stacked with great teams and great players.
We came out of the group stage in 1st place and headed into a tough semi final.
The lads turned the style on and took control of the game, finishing 2-0 and heading into the Cup Final against our South Park u12 Whites team

With a few minutes break the lads were on the pitch and underway. We found ourselves 2-0 down in a blink of an eye and knew we were up against it.
Kaiden pulled a goal back with a Worldie of a goal and there was a glimmer of hope.
Half time fast approached and it was clear to see the boys were exhausted following a demanding Semi Final and quick turnaround to playing a Final.
They gave everything and we threw caution to the wind to try and get back into it but unfortunately, we came off with our heaviest defeat in a Very Long time!!
We knew today was going to be an incredible challenge with having 4 players away on holiday, another 2 players returning from holiday just over 24 hours before the tournament and then losing a player to injury in the Semi Final. We had some amazing support from our South Park Rangers u11 Blues with Curley, Harley and Jayce supporting us through the tournament and they were a real credit to their coaches and their team. These lads will go far!! 🤩
Credit where credit is due, The Whites were the better team on the day and thoroughly deserved to Win. 🤍
The day was brilliant, we are so proud of the boys for giving it everything and they were exhausted at the end. 💙
We may not have Won, but football and
South Park Rangers JFC did with 2 Fantastic Teams playing Great football to get to the Final and great football from all the teams throughout the Day.

Another test for the boys, playing a team 2 Divisions higher and what an Amazing performance! 👏💪

The first half, I really don’t know how it was still 0-0 at half time. The number of chances we created, we should have been 3 or 4 goals up by then. Credit to the opposition they defended really well with a lot of players back defending.

As soon as the second half started, we were clinical with our decision-making, and then the hard work paid off 💪
No soon were we 1-0 up and the boys were on fire, firing home another 4 goals without any real threat on our goal.
The match finished 5-0 and the boys were electric ⚡️

Another great day and performance from the team.
After conceeding a few goals recently, they were challenged in training to protect our goal better and prevent the goals going in and Wiw, did they achieve that with a clean sheet to match!!
Every single one of the boys was amazing and ran their socks off for each other again. we couldn’t be any prouder of them. 👏⚽
