🎯🖤💛 TEESSIDE DARTS ACADEMY – OUR JOURNEY & THE NEXT CHAPTER 💛🖤🎯
What started as a few lads with an idea has grown into something bigger than we ever imagined.
Jeff, Dave, Mark & Joe came together with one simple goal — to create somewhere youngsters could come, play darts, improve, make friends and, most importantly, enjoy the game in a safe, welcoming and supportive environment.
From day one, a huge amount of work and personal time has gone into building Teesside Darts Academy.
People often see the coaching sessions, but there is so much more that goes on behind the scenes.

⭐ Creating Finals Nights where our youngsters get that professional feeling of walking out and playing on the big stage
❤️ Countless hours planning, setting up and creating opportunities for the kids
As the academy grew, so did the time and commitment it demanded.
With work commitments, travelling and everyday life, Mark and Joe eventually had to step away from the day-to-day running of the academy. They still fully support what we are doing and will always be part of where this journey started.
That leaves Jeff & Dave, who continue to put 1000% effort into keeping the academy moving forward.
There has never been any personal profit involved. Up until now, the academy has largely been self-funded, with huge support and investment from MJV Promotions.
We do it because we love darts — but even more importantly, we love seeing youngsters develop, gain confidence, make friendships and experience opportunities they may never otherwise have had.
🤝 WE COULDN’T HAVE DONE IT ALONE
Over the years we have also been incredibly fortunate to receive sponsorship and support from several fantastic local businesses who have believed in what we are trying to achieve.
Every single sponsor who has helped us along the way has played a part in this journey, and we genuinely appreciate every penny, every bit of equipment and every bit of support we have received.
A special mention has to go to Grey Smith Legal, who have been one of our biggest supporters and have continually backed what we are trying to build for young people in our community.
That support means more than people probably realise. ❤️
🦄🎯 UNICORN DARTS
Another huge milestone was securing Unicorn Darts as an official academy sponsor.
To have one of the biggest and most respected names in darts supporting Teesside Darts Academy is something we are extremely proud of.
Their backing has helped us continue improving the experience we can offer our youngsters and shows just how far this little idea has come.

We have also been incredibly lucky to have support from some fantastic people within professional darts.
People such as Glen Durrant, Karl Coleman, Jamie Durrant, Gian van Veen and Tony O’Shea have all supported the academy and what we’re trying to achieve.
For our youngsters to meet, learn from and receive encouragement from people who have competed at such a high level is absolutely priceless.
These players giving up their time and supporting grassroots darts helps inspire the next generation, and we can’t thank them enough.

This is a massive step forward for us.
Becoming a CIC gives us the platform to seek further funding and investment, develop new partnerships, work with more organisations and create even more opportunities for young people across Teesside and the surrounding areas.
