Boro Rangers Girls U11s (2025/26 season) are looking for a guest goalkeeper to help out at a tournament we’ve entered on June 20th; as our regular goalkeeper is unavailable.

Today the girls took part in the Redcar Town Tournament. We’ve always known that tournament football can be a challenge for us, with the quick turnaround between games and little time to settle into a rhythm.

There were spells where the girls worked hard and showed the quality of football they’re capable of playing, but overall it wasn’t our best day. We eventually bowed out in the Silver Cup semi-final.

A big thank you to our two guest players, Mads and Penelope, for helping us out today ⚽️.

We are incredibly proud of every single player in our team for reaching the U11 Girls League Cup Final. The girls have shown amazing teamwork, determination, effort, and spirit throughout the entire season. Reaching the final is a brilliant achievement for the players and coaches.

🏆 League Cup – Semi-Final 🏆

⚽️ BR Gold vs Norton & Stockton ⚽️

The girls went 2–0 down early in the first half but responded well, growing into the game and creating a couple of good chances that might have brought it back to 2–2 by the break. Unfortunately, a third goal conceded right before half-time made it a tougher task.

They showed great effort in the second half, but found it difficult to cope with Norton’s passing, with the opposition eventually securing a comfortable win.

Best of luck to Norton in the final, where they’ll take on our sister team, Boro Rangers Reds! ⚽️

🏆 League Cup - Quarter Final 🏆

⚽️ BR Gold V Pools Youth ⚽️

A strong performance from the girls saw them progress into the cup semi-final after a well-earned victory over Pools Youth.

From the first whistle, the girls were on top, dominating possession and creating chance after chance. Only an inspired performance from the Pools goalkeeper kept the scoreline down, with a series of excellent saves denying what could have been an even bigger lead. Despite that resistance, the breakthrough came and the girls deservedly went into half-time in front.

Pools came out fighting in the second half and managed to pull a goal back, but it never knocked the girls off their stride. They maintained their intensity, continued to press forward, and controlled the game well to prevent any real comeback.

A brilliant team performance from start to finish—well done girls! Onto the cup semi-final 👏⚽

Yesterday the girls faced a very strong Norton side. We knew from the outset it was going to be a tough challenge against a well-organised team, especially with a few of our players missing.

Despite that, the girls battled hard from start to finish and stuck to their individual roles brilliantly. Their effort, teamwork and determination were fantastic to see.

Really proud of every single one of them – not just for how they played, but for the attitude they showed throughout the game. ⚽
