Another game done, and this one was definitely a tough one to watch from the sidelines.
💭 THOUGHTS ON THE GAME
It was stressful watching us play like that after so many weeks of good football. The frustrating part is that for the first 10–15 minutes, we were actually the better team. We had them on the back foot and looked good, then all of a sudden the heads dropped and the game changed.
That being said, we’re still proud of the lads. After a few words at half-time, they stepped up, pulled goals back and gave us a chance of getting ourselves back into it. Today just wasn’t our day.
✅ POSITIVES
It’s another game together and another experience for the lads to learn from. Games like this let everyone see how each other reacts when things aren’t going our way. We learn from it, grow from it and hopefully come back stronger next time.
📈 IMPROVEMENTS
It’s a tough one because today it was a little bit of everything. But that’s football — you’re going to have days like this. The important thing is not getting too worked up over one result. Take it on the chin, learn from it and move forward.
👏 PLAYERS WHO IMPRESSED
Owen Wright & Callum Wilson.
Both had good games, but Owen was an absolute workhorse today. He never stopped, kept battling even when things weren’t going our way and showed exactly why he’s been in the line-up week in, week out. 💪
🏆 LOOKING AHEAD
Next up, it’s the first round of the cup!
Something different and a little break from league football might do us good. It’s exciting, it gives us something new to focus on and who knows…
Maybe a little cup run could be on the cards. 👀🏆
