🏆🌟🔴 DOUBLE AWARD WINNERS 🔴 🌟🏆

So incredibly proud of these two girls who not only represent us every week, but also pull on the shirt for Cleveland Juniors on a Sunday.

One of the things I love most is hearing positive comments about our players from opposition managers. When people tak their time to praise your attitude, ability and work ethic, it says everything about the type of player and person you are.

A special mention to Mourne and everyone involved at Cleveland Juniors for helping support and develop these girls along the way. 👏⚽

🥇 Elsie had an unbelievable season, winning the Golden Boot as top goalscorer for Mourne's team. As if that wasn't enough, she was also awarded the Frank Rush Memorial Trophy.

This isn't just another award. It is presented to ONE player across the entire Cleveland Juniors club each season and recognises outstanding achievement, dedication and contribution. Elsie received it for everything she has accomplished this year, including her performances for both teams, earning a place with Durham Academy and being recognised by Dortmund.

A fantastic achievement and one that is thoroughly deserved. The scary thing is she's only just getting started. 💙

🏆 Rebeka was awarded Manager's Player of the Year, an award that reflects so much more than goals and assists.

It recognises commitment, attitude, effort, reliability and the standards you set for yourself and those around you. Every coach loves players they can depend on, and Rebeka is exactly that. Week after week she gives everything for her team, works hard, listens, learns and continues to improve.

A brilliant achievement and one she should be extremely proud of. 👏

Both girls are fantastic examples of what can be achieved through hard work, dedication and a willingness to keep learning. 💙⚽

🔴🔵 WEEKEND ROUND-UP 🔵🔴

What a week for our U11s! 🙌⚽

A special North Riding FA Award for coach Levi 👏🏆, three new faces joining us at training, and another tournament win to top it all off! 🏆🔥

Thursday's session was all about working on tactics ahead of the weekend tournament. The girls worked hard, learned plenty, and it was great to see some new players come along and get involved. The session finished with a friendly match and plenty of smiles all round. ⚽😁

The girls also grabbed a photo with Levi after he received his North Riding FA Award, a well-deserved recognition for all the hard work he puts into helping the team. 👏📸

Saturday saw us head to the South Park Rangers Tournament ☀️⚽. Alongside some fantastic football, the girls enjoyed the sunshine, opened football stickers, demolished ice creams and hot dogs, and had plenty of laughs together.

The girls were outstanding throughout the day, playing some brilliant football in difficult conditions and showing great teamwork, effort and determination. 💪⚽

🚣‍♀️ Edie couldn't make the tournament this weekend as she was competing in an U14 rowing competition, where she achieved an incredible 2nd place finish 🥈. A fantastic achievement and we're all really proud of her! 👏

⚽ Phoebe (also one of our U10s) scored her first hat-trick and picked up Girl of the Match. What a weekend! 👏

🏆 Elsie received a special trophy for her outstanding performances across the last two tournaments. Fully deserved! ⭐

🌟 Maisie took home this weekend's Girl of the Tournament award after another fantastic display. 👏🏆

🏆 POOLS YOUTH TOURNAMENT WINNERS 🏆

The girls competed against some brilliant teams last Saturday down at the Pools Youth Tournament ⚽🔥

Topping the group and going on to win the whole competition unbeaten 💪
Some really tough, close games throughout the day but the girls kept battling right until the end. We only conceded 2 goals all tournament — both coming in the opening 5 minutes of the first game 👏

What impressed us most was how much the girls improved game after game. You could see the confidence growing every match and that’s exactly what we expect over the summer with all the tournaments we’ve entered ☀️⚽

Massive shoutout to all the teams involved 👏
⚽ Jarrow — a strong physical side with a brilliant manager. Not seen them in a while so it was good to catch up again.
⚽ Boro Rangers — always good competitive games against both sides, but off the pitch the girls all get on amazingly. Some proper friendships spread across the teams ❤️

And finally… huge shoutout to Sadie who picked up Player of the Tournament 🌟
A seriously talented player with a massive future ahead of her… future Lioness for sure 🦁🇬🇧

🏆 LEAGUE & CUP OVER! 🏆

That’s officially the end of the season for the girls ❤️⚽

It may not have finished exactly how they wanted, but when we look back at this season, these girls should be unbelievably proud of themselves.

With SIX new players coming into the squad — some completely brand new to football — this team still managed to take points from an unbeaten side and finish SECOND in the league 👏🔥

At the start of the season there were plenty of doubts around this team… but we believed from day one, and the girls who stayed loyal, kept believing and stuck together have been rewarded ever since 💙

From travelling to Spain 🇪🇸, playing teams all over the country, making memories with their best friends and now heading into an exciting summer of tournaments… these girls are getting experiences they’ll never forget ☀️🏆⚽

What we have now is an unbelievable group with talent, character and so much potential. Still lots to improve, but that’s what we do best 💪

We are STILL the ONLY team in the TJFA at this age group to have players offered academy places — and every single year we’ve had players move on into academy football 👏

This year alone we’ve had TWO more players offered places at Durham Academy 🔥
And word on the street is… we’re the ONLY team this year AGAIN 😉⚽

We also want to say a MASSIVE thank you to every team we’ve played this season 👏⚽
And a huge well done to all the kids we’ve played against and made friends with along the way, as well as all the opposition parents and managers too ❤️

Grassroots football is about memories, friendships and experiences — and this season has given the girls plenty of all three 💙

BIG GAME DAY 🔥⚽️

Tomorrow the girls step into the League Cup Semi-Final as they take on Boro Rangers Girls Reds 💪

The Reds have shown massive improvement, finishing their season on a real high — exactly how you’d want to go into a game like this. It’s going to be a tough test, no doubt.

But our girls are ready. Focused. Determined. Together. 💙

Let’s hope they rise to the occasion and put in a performance to be proud of 👊

Good luck girls — go and show what you’re all about! 💥⚽️

⚽️🔴 Middlesbrough Training & Game Day 🔴⚽

While out in Majorca, the girls were given an unbelievable opportunity to train with BVB-trained coaches – and they grabbed it with both hands! 🙌

From the very first minute, the intensity was high. The coaches put the girls through their paces with fast, sharp drills, focusing on movement, passing, and decision-making under pressure.

They worked on a brand new corner routine 👀 – something completely different to what they’re used to – and you could already see them taking it all in and trying to perfect it.

There were loads of new skills introduced too, and it was brilliant to see the girls stepping out of their comfort zones, trying new things, and growing in confidence with every drill 💪

The attitude from every single player was spot on – listening, learning, and giving 100% the whole way through. Exactly what you want to see 👏

Then came game day…

A real test for the girls as they came up against some top-quality opposition, including players as old as 13 👀

But the girls didn’t take a step back.

They played with confidence, bravery, and determination from the first whistle to the last. Getting stuck in, moving the ball well, and showing real quality in moments going forward ⚽

What stood out the most was the teamwork and togetherness. Encouraging each other, working hard for one another, and showing exactly what this group is all about ❤️

You could see how much it meant to them, and how much they’ve developed – not just as footballers, but as a team.

And then… the moment of the trip so far 👀🔥

From these matches and training sessions, one of our players received some incredible news – something they’ve worked so hard for and fully deserve ⭐

STADIUM TOUR DAY! 🏟️🔥

The girls got the full VIP experience as they stepped inside the incredible Estadi Mallorca Son Moix… and wow, what a day it was! 😍

This wasn’t just a quick look around… the girls went behind the scenes and experienced it like the pros 👀⚽

They explored the trophy room, taking in the history of the club and learning what it takes to reach the top 🏆
Walked through the changing rooms, picturing themselves getting ready for the big games 💭
Checked out the training facilities, seeing first-hand the standards needed at the highest level 💪

And the best part…
Walking out through the tunnel and into the stadium 🤩🔥
A proper goosebumps moment imagining the crowd, the noise, and that matchday feeling!

Smiles, laughs, loads of photos 📸 and memories that will stay with them for a long time 💙

Experiences like this don’t just make a trip… they inspire dreams ✨🌍

What an absolutely unforgettable experience this has been for the girls 🤩✨

These girls stepped up against players from all over the world 🌍 — Australia, Germany, Spain and more ⚽🔥

And they didn’t just compete… they made a statement 💪

Going head-to-head with top level opposition and only suffering one defeat… against an unbelievable Dortmund academy side, with players up to 13 years old 😮👏

The effort. The passion. The teamwork. ❤️

When I say they’ve done us proud… it honestly doesn’t even come close 🙌

These girls have been NOTHING short of incredible 💙
