This weekend it's the Seniors flying the flag for Ynysowen RFC as we welcome Ogmore Vale RFC to The Willows for our first league fixture of the 2026/27 season. 🔴⚫️

Our Youth side have no fixture this weekend, so all attention turns to the Seniors as they look to put in a big performance on home soil.

The response to the launch of our 60th Anniversary Commemorative tee has truly been overwhelming, and we can't thank all of you who have purchased one enough! Over 320 purchased in the limited 2 week window amounting to profits of over £1000 being made, which will be donated to the Aberfan Memorial Trust in the coming weeks 👏🏻

To update, the order has now been placed with our kit partner and we're expecting delivery at the club around the 1ST/2ND WEEK OF OCTOBER, at which point we'll arrange to get them out to you all.

Due to the unprecedented demand however, we have decided to re-open the shop link for a further limited period until MIDNIGHT on SUNDAY 20TH SEPTEMBER.

Alongside our commemorative t-shirt, we're also now giving you the opportunity to purchase replicas of our Youth and Senior playing jerseys too.

🛒 HOW TO ORDER

The online shop will close at MIDNIGHT ON 20TH SEPTEMBER 2026.

Once the ordering window closes, the shop link will be closed and a 2nd bulk order will be placed with our manufacturer.

From the point the order is submitted, we're expecting a production and delivery timescale of approximately 5 weeks, meaning we're currently looking at the t-shirts arriving around the end of October/beginning of November.

There were no winners in this week's draw. The prize pot now stands at a massive £9,430 and the next draw takes place on Monday 14th September live at 6:30 in the Aberfan Social Club, so get your numbers in before then.

🦈🏉 FIXTURE DAY | SATURDAY 5TH SEPTEMBER 🏉🦈

Another Saturday of rugby is on the way for the Sharks, with our Youth side hitting the road. Unfortunately we were unable to secure a suitable fixture for our senior side, so we'll resume normality next week with our first league match, home against Ogmore Vale RFC! 🔴⚫️

Our future Sharks make the short trip to Bedlinog as they continue their start to the new season.
