Just wanted to big up Poole Harbour Canoe Club who are getting ready to launch their spring paddling program.

This is a well established paddling club based at Lake Pier and Wimbourne who offer every type of paddling training and experience you can think of.

They have two facilities full of kit you can borrow as part of your membership, but it’s their kindness and dedicated team you’ll love the best who go out of their way to help develop paddlers from complete beginners up to elite competitors. The core volunteers within the club are all truly inspirational and it’s a pleasure to be part of their coaching team again this year.

Absolutely epic second day after rough water upper end remit wind and fetch on Saturday to fast flowing river flow, features and estuary dynamics on Sunday. Sunshine, seals, rainbows and an epic team of volunteers delivered a fun assessment for the fabulous Kris Roach and James Whitehurst who passed all their challenges. Well done chaps!

First BC English SUP race training course with three epic ladies!

F4 gusting F7 on Saturday perfect for learning how to use the environment for race coaching and today the sun came out for rescues and student coaching sessions, followed by burgers and debrief in Billy Winters Cafe.

Fab weekend! I can’t wait to run some more courses later this year.

I’m looking at running a British Canoeing coastal leadership assessment on either 15/16th October 2022. £100 8hours.

Currently I have one candidate and can take one more person for the assessment.

I will also need 3 volunteers for each candidate to paddle on their chosen trip. You will need to be a competent paddler with some coastal paddling experience. There is potential on the trip to experience exposed sections of coast, surf up to 1m, 2knots of tide and winds to Beaufort 4. You must be fit and well with your own sound personal paddling kit.

First three people to message me get the places, and second three get to go if we get one more candidate, it’s free! Obviously everything is weather dependent.
