Highfields School - Facilities Hire Highfields School offers a wide range of facilities for hire across our two sites – Lumsdale and Starkholmes.

Our lettings are available 7 days per week, 50 weeks per year, with extended opening hours during school holidays.

☀️ IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ALL PITCH HIRERS ☀️

Due to the exceptionally hot weather forecast across England this week, we are offering all hirers the option to cancel training sessions scheduled between Thursday and Sunday and receive a full refund.

Whilst our artificial pitch remains open and playable, synthetic surfaces can become significantly hotter than the surrounding air temperature during periods of extreme heat. The safety and wellbeing of players, coaches and spectators is our priority.

If you would prefer to cancel your booking, please contact us before your scheduled session and we will arrange a full refund.

For those choosing to continue with training, we strongly encourage regular hydration breaks, reduced intensity where appropriate, and close monitoring of participants for signs of heat-related illness.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this period of unusually high temperatures.

Please note that our Large Sports Hall at Upper Site at Highfields School - Matlock is now unavailable for lettings due to GCSE and A Level examinations taking place over the coming weeks.
